I'm 20 years old and very unhappy with the size of my nipples and and considering surgery. They are both about 8-9 cm in diameter. I have no plans to have children in the near future. What do I need to know about nipple surgery?
Patients today have many different options in the reduction of the areola. The most important first step is to determine if this is all that the patient needs to create a pleasing breast shape and appearance. In many patients, the large areola may also be a component of an abnormally shaped breast caused from tuberous breast deformity or natural sagging of the breast. Your plastic surgeon will be able to review your options and help you decide which procedures will create a balanced and beautiful breast shape and appearance.
my left breast nipple is dented. i've been ok with it, yet i saw a story in the news that it could be a sign of breast cancer. so now i am really scared! what's the cause of inverted nipples and is it something i need to get checked out right away?
If you notice a change in your breast or that your nipple has recently become inverted, it is important to be evaluated by your physician. In some types of breast cancer, and inverted nipple or discharge from the nipple may be a sign of a tumor. Your doctor will want to do a complete exam and evaluate your entire breast and lymph nodes. It will also be important to receive a screening mammogram at this time. After your evaluation if it is determined that you do not have any cancer or serious breast problems, you may consider the many different options to help correct an inverted nipple
I have two extra nipples. I have had them since I was born and I hate them. I can wear swimsuits with nice tops because they show they are right below my original ones.
I'm now 17 and want to remove them. Are there home remedies? I heard wart remover works? And if not, I have insurance. Will it cover it and will it hurt? Thanks so much.
It is straightforward to remove extra nipples from the skin. This is usually performed under local or regional anesthesia and may easily be done as an outpatient or office procedure. The manner in which the surgical wound is closed depends on the size of the nipple and how much skin had to be removed. In most occasions, the skin is able to be advanced into the wind and closed with a nice thin line.
