I had perlane injections in the cheeks, tear trough and naso labial folds one week ago. The eyes and cheeks areas look great, but there is slightly too much filler in the nasolabial folds -- I want that area to flatten out. Will it help to massage vigorously daily or could this cause/proswelling? Is Perlane still malable 7 days? Could applying vibration to the area hasten the breakdown of the perlane. Could repeatedly applying strong pressure to the area help flatten it out?
I had Perlane over three years ago, and it developed hard nodules around my mouth and in the naso folds. Three rounds of Vitrase have not removed the balls around my mouth. Is there a technique or physician who can help? One doctor said scar tissue had been formed, another said muscle. I tried more restylane in the upper face to balance it, but everything seems to swell in lower face after a few weeks (similar to Farah Fawcett - not as bad). What options are there?
I had one syringe of Perlane today for marionette lines. My left side needed more than the right side. It also is bruised and painful. Is this normal and will it look better tomorrow? It's barely noticeable, but I see a slight improvement. Thank you.
Since these treatments are injections, bruising is always a possibility. I would apply ice and avoid any exercise until the bruising resolves. Some patients will also report soreness, but there should not be significant pain. If you find that your pain is increasing, I would go see your physician immediately for an evaluation.
