Can Botox injections leave residue on skin, and can this be ingested accidentally (ie hands or showering)? How many units of Botox ingested are toxic?
BOTOX comes to your physician as a white powder. It is mixed with saline to create the liquid that makes so many people so happy! The protein itself is complexes with your muscles to relax them and is not left in or on the skin in a visible amount.
I wear my hair pulled back and in a ponytail daily. I am interested in getting Botox in my forehead. My question is.. By pulling my hair back would the muscles in my forehead (freeze) or be paralyzed in place according to the tension or the tightness my ponytail style... or would it paralyzed the muscles in their natural place. How tight should I wear my ponytail once receiving the Botox? What happens to the muscles with a tight ponytail?? I hope I have asked the question clearly and correctly.
Wearing your hair in a pony-tail may make you more beautiful. It will, thankfully, have no effect on your BOTOX treatments. Keep on BOTOXing!
I had Botox injections 3 days ago above eyebrows and 11 lines. My outer eyebrows lifted in about 24 hours while my 11 lines seem worse. I was wondering if there is still time for the 11 lines to get better and maybe lift the inner eyebrow? It seems as if under my inner eyebrow is puffy and is lower making the outer brow seem higher. Should I go back in now or wait a week or so?
Wait for at least 10 days. Typically there will little to no improvement after that time. If this was a new caregiver for you then make sure you understand what dose of Botox is being given and that he understood what your goals were. With the right dose and the appropriate placement - Botox results should usually be excellent. Best of Luck Dr Harrell
