I had juvederm injected under my eyes 18 months ago, about 3 weeks ago I had the dissolving agent injected to remove small bumps, it seems to have removed the remaining juvederm leaving me with dark circles and bags under my eyes again. I am considering using restylane instead. Is this recommended ? Are there any side effects that can happen my mixing the two fillers?
Their is no problem injecting Restylane after Juvederm since they are made from the same material. They are both HA. They both last about two years under the eyes. I like Restylane better under the eyes since it causes less swelling!
Good luck !
I had restylane under my eyes and in my cheeks 7 months ago. The eyes had problems, but now look great. However, I've never liked how my face shape looks. It's fuller, with less distinct cheekbones. I look younger but less striking; fatter, and I'm thin. When can I expect this to dissipate? I'd take gauntness for my high cheekbones in a second. I've been patient, but I was hoping that at least some would have dissolved by now. I realize there's no magic number but, ballpark? Thanks so much.
Sorry to hear you are unhappy Sally Anne. In the check region and the tear trough region (under the eyes) Restylane or any filler for the matter lasts longer since there is less movement of muscles in that region.
If over done the description you are giving is the result. You can get fantastic results if the procedure is not over done and done correctly by some one with experience and conservative approach.
The Restylane may last from one to two years in those areas. If you are very unhappy you can have the filler dissolved with an enzyme called Hyaluronidase with in a few days!
Good luck!
