“Love my Invisalign - Queens, NY”
Hello everybody, I've had my invisalign since Aug. 2011 and I was seeing results in as little as months. I recommend them to everybody I know. It's very practical and easy. If you have an important affair you can take them off for that event and then pop them in. You have to be disiplined though because you HAVE to wear them in order for them to work. It's a bit uncomfortable the... more
“I Deserve This! - Queens, NY”
Second day on my 1st tray - U/18 * B/15 - I am already counting down the days to try on the second trays - can it come any sooner? I was always conscience about my teeth - although they weren't bad but the overcrowding on the bottom was always nagging at me. I finally decided to go ahead with Invisaline. I had to have a tooth extracted, see my pic, and I simply can't wait for the... more
“Getting Ready to Start Invisalign...”
Getting ready to start my first tray of invisalign aligners December 21, 2010. I will be doing a total of 48 trays. My bottom teeth need the most work, since there is crowding in the front teeth. I will upload some before photos soon. Ive been doing a lot research on Invisalign, searching the net and talking to some friends who got it done. Overall what i found was, if you follow... more
Invisalign is long and expensive. Sure no wires or rubber bands. A new technology used as a alternative to fixing correctly. You will need a retainer for life! I stopped using mine, (lost it) and now need to start over. Go to a reputable Ortho and have it done the correct way. more
“45 Female, New to Invisalign -...”
I just had my 1st set of Invisalign aligners put on yesterday. I have a front tooth that has been pushed up (due to overcrowding) which gives the appearance that one of my front teeth is shorter than the other, or as some people have said, it looks broken, as well as I have overcrowding on the bottom teeth which caused overlapping in that area. I was in metal braces from 1974-1983, age 9 to... more
“The Worst Mistake Ever, DON"T Do It”
Iam 9 months into my invisalign, and I just returned from my dentist, getting my teeth cleaned. Unfortunately, the "glue" that held the button on, ate through my teeth/enamel and now I need dental work done. My ortho denied that this could be from invisalign. Well, the damage was on the tooth the button was on, and the two teeth on either side. There is nothing I have done that could... more
“Final Tray, Unhappy with Results -...”
I have a little bit of a crossbite, and some crowding. I need to have 18 trays so about 36 weeks of treatment in total. No buttons, but I do need shaving. I am on my first tray on day number 4. First three days very uncomfortable especially after taking off. Uncomfortable to eat since teeth feel shaky. Nothing a little Motrin didnt help. Now more comfortable, but still taking with a... more
“7 Months In, and Things Are Looking Good”
I had braces from age 11-14 and then never wore my retainers. Naturally over the years, my teeth moved and became crooked again. So at age 27, I got Invisalign. My teeth weren't horrible, but I suffer from overcrowding and my four front bottom teeth were crooked and crowded and 1 of my top teeth (in the front) had starting moving back a lot. I actually went back to the same orthodontist who... more
