I've always had crooked teeth growing up but I never really paid much attention to it. I didn't feel like an issue to me during my teenage years. My mom gave me every opportunity to get braces, but I declined every time because I didn't want those unsightly things attached to my face for years, I thought it would kill my confidence. Fast forward to 2013, I'm 21, and in hindsight I would have... more
After reading several reviews on Invisalign on this website, I decided to try it myself and write about how I feel. At the consultation with my orthodontist, he had given me 3 different options to correct my teeth. He told me I could get traditional braces, Invisalign, or a generic form of Invisalign. I am 24 years old and had gotten traditional braces about 15 years ago. After not wearing my... more
I wore braces when I was young, before retainers existed. As my wisdom teeth tried to come through and had no room, my teeth moved. I had all 4 removed, and wore a permanent metal retainer attached on my bottom teeth for several years. Still, my teeth never looked really good again. With time and age (I'm 60)they worsened. The bottom is very crowded and the top has a very crooked tooth.... more

So far, I've seen no movement, but am assuming that the teeth are moving since each tray fits OK - tight at first, but not uncomfortable. My concern is that... more
Great braces alternative BUT: 1. You Must be committed and disciplined; 2. Be vocal & persistent if they don't fit properly. 3. Make sure your sales contract is all-inclusive, from crooked to straight no matter how long or how many molds it takes. I never NEEDED braces, but wanted them for aesthetic reasons (one front tooth back farther than it's partner, general crowding and... more
My son (15) needed braces, and the orthodontist said he was a good candidate for Invisalign.I was worried, because he can be a standardly irresponsible teenager with respect to misplacing things, but he's been awesome, and the results are pretty amazing. And it only took a year.He used up the first 16, and they needed to make a few more which was disappointing to him, but so far it's been a... more

Did not mind wearing the trays, it was also great because if there was a super special occasion I could take them out for afew hours if I felt the desire. I had to wear them quite a bit longer than I was orig. told, I had to get 2 sets of refinement trays afterwards so I was first quoted about a year but ended up in treatment for almost two to get things as perfect as possible. lower teeth... more
