Can I Eat With My Aligner Still In My Mouth?

I have to have one of my front tooths removed for some reason, and they will be replacing it with invisilign and a fake front tooth. My question is will I be able to eat with the top aligners in. I eat a lot in public as a part of my job and taking the aligner out is not an option for me.

A: Not a Good Idea

Eating with your aligners in is not recommended.  Have your dentist make a simple flipper that you can use in public situations.  I'm assuming the tooth will eventually be replaced with an implant once the other teeth are in proper alignment so the space will most likely stay the same size.

How Common is It for Invisalign Users to Develop a Temporary Speech Impediment?

My son already has a slight lisp; will Invisalign make it worse? Are there better options for straightening his teeth?

A: Very Common!

Although it is very common to see changes in speech with Invisalign it is most often temporary.  The mouth has the wonderful ability to adjust to these things.

Will Invisilign Widen my Smile Giving Me a Hollywood Smile, Even Though I Already Have Straight Teeth Due to Braces?

I had braces when I was in 5th grade and then got them off in 7th. I am now 18 years old and have straight teeth but I have a small mouth and a very small smile and wish it were bigger. I wish I had a broad "hollywood" smile. Also I feel that I was too young when I got my braces off and my smile should be bigger now that I am older. Is it possible to I have braces too young and would invisilign make my smile bigger?

A: You need Veneers, not invisalign!

Veneers are ideal for widening a smile.  Often individuals with narrow arch forms will appear to have "small smile" that can easily be remedied with Porcelain Veneers.
