I can't believe all the doctors responses to all the people on here who got bad damage to their skin on their face! IPL makes your skin look terrible! Immediately it made skun sink in, huge pores, orange peal, under eyes total creepy!!! My whole face looks like crap and 15 years older! I had gorgeous skin before this! Now red face, red spider veins, skin very old looking now. I'm... more
This was first laser treatment. I am 41 years old and have never had even microdermabrasions. My skin had some freckling started and I thought this would help me stay on top of it. Also I have minor wrinkling and slightly larger pores from aging. Dr Huang and her staff are amazing. She has very little turnover in her office and is well known in the Denver area. The waiting room is always very... more
Sitting down at the computer to write this out because today was a total surprise. It's been 3 hours since my first IPL treatment and my face feels a little tight. The sunburn feeling has subsided.
A little background - On the FItzpatrick scale, which runs from 0 (albino) to VI (6-black) , I'm a 2 - naturally blue-grey eyes, pale skin, burn then tan type. I moved to CO 7 years ago and... more
I see Ashley for IPL/BBL and have gotten great results. After 3 treatments my skin looks entirely different and I can't wait to finish my last two appts so my skin will look transformed. My sister also sees Ashley for this and only needed 3 appt to achieve her results, because she takes much better care of her skin. I LOVE going to get this done because of the results I am getting, it is a... more
Having spent all of my childhood and most of my young adulthood in the sun, I am now left with sunspots, uneven skin color and texture and a multitude of “beauty marks”. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Becker who suggested IPL and Sublative. He was very informative, answered all my questions and made sure there were no contraindications for treatment. His staff is very experienced and... more
It went ok. A few weeks ago the technician there put on 3 layers of chemical peel instead of the ONE that I was supposed to have gotten and as a result, I was housebound for days with redness/dryness/surface sores. It healed ok but I DID raise a bit of hell about being treated improperly and needless to say - and as I made very clear to the woman doing my IPL -- I was very very nervous and... more
My certified dermatologist performed this on me 2 days ago. It was difficult to research leading up to the procedure because he kept calling it IPL. However, based on some of the reviews, this can't be the same process, but I could not find anything called BBL (broadband light). I don't know if it's the same as phototherapy?
Anyhow, I wanted to remove freckles and sun damage.... more
I asked my dermatologist about recommendations for general skin improvement. I have sebaceous hyperplasia, some blood vessels (fair skin), crows feet and some upper lip lines...Only 41...don't smoke, but spent too many years in the sun...she recommended IPL.The doctor did not do it herself...It was done by an aesthetician in the office that is part of the dermatologist practice.I can't say it... more
I was a sun worshipper, and as a result developed a very uneven skin tone, small broken blood vessels around my nose and upper cheeks, large pores, etc. My dermatologist suggested IPL and agreed to do it in my affected areas only (instead of the entire face) to keep the cost down ($150 per treatment instead of $300). I had 3 or 4 treatments total, and LOVED the results.
The redness in my... more
