I Have New Bumps/Ridges Above Juvederm Injection Site on Forehead, What Went Wrong? 10 days ago I went to my plactic surgeon for a minor facial "tweak" procedure and another round of Juvederm in nasal labial folds. I also had him inject the 111's, and now have vertical bumps/ridges ABOVE THE INJECTION SITE! Prior to that my forehead was cometely smooth when my face at rest. Now I have ridges above the injection site. I've had Juvederm injected here before (different Doc 1yr ago) & it worked like a dream in conjunction w/ Botex. What could have possibly gone wrong & what c JT

If it has been longer than a week and you are still feeling lumpy, than it is likely that too much product was used. Ak your provider about an enzyme that can dissolve this issue for you.

Is This The Tyndall Effect or a Healing Bruise Under Eyes? (photo) I had Juvederm XC injected into my tear trough area for under eye hallows 5 weeks ago. I had a SEVERE bruise under my left eye and a smaller bruise under my right. I still have a dark tint under both eyes and appear to have two black eyes without makeup. Does this look like the Tyndall effect or are the bruises still healing? The dr. Said he injected very deep so I should not end up with this effect. Would love others opinions based on my pictures. THanks

A: Bruising/Juvederm

If the product was injected deeper, than bruising is typical, especially inder the eye area. Avoid Vitamin E, fish oil and products containing Ibuprofen for 2 weeks prior to injectable treatments. Also, if the injector uses ice under the eye immediately after the treatment, it does help to avoid these bruises.
