Following my orthodontics treatment, I will have mandibular advancement surgery. But as you can see from the pictures, I also need a mid-face lift. I got different opinions from different surgeons regarding the order of the operations.I'm really confused.
I don't think it makes much difference in the timing. Based on your photos you have fairly minimal jowling and any midface lift is likely to address the upper cheek area rather than the jawline. Also, have you considered simply fat grafting to the nasolabial fold and cheek areas rather than a lift. It may do the job.
I am a 30 year old African American female. My acne is no longer a problem. However, I have several ice pick acne scars on my cheeks. I have received a suggestion of a Cheek Lift to decrease the appearance of my acne scars. What are your thoughts on this method? What additional suggestions do you have for my Fitzpatrick VI skin type? Thank you!
Though tugging on the skin may make your acne scars look better, it is only because of the tension created by actively stretching the skin.
The kin can't maintain the degree of stretch for more than a few days-weeks.
As the skin relaxes, the tension is released and the scars look just the same.
I am planning on having fat grafting in a few months. And my ultimate goal is for the best fat retention/survival possible. But I am toying with the idea of having an endoscopic cheek life. Would it be ok to have this done at the same time? Or would it be better to wait. Would having additional surgery at the time of the fat transfer compromise the potential fat survival?
Fat grafting at the time of cheek lift is very routine and works quite well.
The fat is placed into a tissue level different from the level where the lift is performed so the grafts can have a high survival rate.
