How Do I Choose a Lip Augmentation Surgeon to Get my Upper Lip Enhanced?

Should I consider surgery as well as filler options for enhancing my upper lip? How do I choose the right doctor  for either option?

A: Lip Augmentation

In planning lip augmentation it may be best to start with the procedure with the least risk of  complications. This would be fillers rather than surgery. The only current FDA approved filler for lips on the market is Restylane and it does amazingly well as a stand alone procedure. Other fillers are also available but there are some that should never be used in the lips.  You need to look at examples of lips done by your dermatologic surgeon to see if you like their work and aesthetic eye for beauty. Do your homework and be sure your doctor is well trained in this field. Lips can either look amazing and natural or odd and artificial when they are augmented so choose carefully!

I Work in The Heat but Not in the Sun, Monday Received Injection, OK To Go Back To Work Wednesday?

if i work in th heat and have the injection around my lips on monday about 4 pm, will i be ok to go back to work on wednesday and is there anything i should expect to happen to my face

A: aftercare following injection Aftercare following lip injection is simple. Avoid things that may make you swell such as strenous exercise or excessive heat. You will not harm the results or effectiveness of the filler by being exposed to warm environments or else no one living in phoenix could get injections over the summer! So working around heat may just exaggerate swelling for a few days. As always follow the advice of the doctor who does your injection.

Will Lip Fillers Shrink 8 Days Post-op?

I Had Filler in my Lips 8 Days Ago but They Still Seem a Bit Big, Will They Go Down Anymore?

A: swelling after lip filler Swelling after having a filler in your lips is normal to last anywhere from 7 to 10 days. After this time it is likely that the lip swelling that you have is a result of the actual filler and not a reaction to it. Only certain fillers can be reversed so check with your doctor who injected you.
