I have long face so one of the things I did was to lower my hairline with brow lift. I still don't have a small forehead, but eventually plan to transplant some hair another cm or 2 over the scar line.
Anyway, I think the slightly higher brow is unnatural. I see a models/actresses with low sexy brows. I want brows like Angelina Jolie, have them start low, go on a sharp slant to a point like a bat wing. I don't want to look surprised any more, want that brooding pensive look. Anyone to see in metro NY?
You certainly can try BOTOX for the effect you seek: BOTOX can work to help shape the brows and adjust asymmetry.
Careful: wanting to achieve a very specific look may be a bit over-reaching. Be sure you get some good pragmatic advice about your goals.
I have ocular rosacea and have had several surgeries to my eyelids when inflamed. Will this create a complication in considering a brow lift? I understand this condition could worsen with Blepharoplasty. What would be the best option for reducing the fat or weight of the upper eyelid and the bags under the eye, given my condition?
A brow lift could potentially work well for you. The incisions are behind the hairline, distant from the area of rosacea. The brow lift may provide nice contour improvements to the area around your eye without creating problems with the rosacea.
The lower lid bags might be well treated with a transconjunctival fat removal (an incision on the inside of the lower eyelid).
I'd want to confer with your dermatologist to be sure he/she was in agreement.
I thought that Botox could make your face sag more, so how is a Botox Lift even possible? How does a Botox Brow lift work?
BOTOX is a muscle relaxant that generally lasts for about 3 months.
BOTOX can be used to weaken muscles selectively thereby changing the dynamic balance among facial muscles pulling in different directions.
To raise the brow, BOTOX is injected into two or three muscles that actually pull the brow down, so with these muscles weakened, the brow lifts slightly.
In addition, the main lifting muscle of the brow creates lines when it lifts the forehead. By selectively weakening parts of the frontalis (brow) muscle, the lines are softened. If overdone, the brow will droop unattractively.
