How Normal is my Tummy Tuck Swelling 4 Months Post-op? (photo)

I'm happy with my result so far, but 4 mo. after, I have a noticable "pudge" above the scarline mid-chest. I know that some of it is swelling, as it's more visible midday. But it's remained constant for 2 months & I'm thinking that as time goes on some of it may remain. It bothers me because when I sit down or look side-profile the "rounding" is pronounced. Of what might remain over time, is it more likely to be fat or excess skin? What can be done with any remaining pudge? How normal is this?

A: Tummy Tuck

Dear patient,
Swelling can persist; however, it may be prudent to consult with your physician to eliminate the possibility of a seroma.

I Have Heard that Otoplasty is Very Painful to Recover From, is this True?

I have heard stories from friends who have had this procedure and read online that an otoplasty is one of the most painful cosmetic procedures, particularly after surgery. I am just wondering whether or not this is true. I find it difficult to believe as i know that many children below the age of 10 get this procedure done.

A: otoplasty pain?

Dear patient,
Otoplasty is commonly done on children. The ideal age is 5 years old.
Following an otoplasty surgery, the pain is usually mild to moderate and can easily be controlled with pain medication.

Contour Deformity Following Unilateral Gynecomastia Surgery, How do I Address this Issue? (photo)

I am noticing a horizontal tear-drop shaped depression. Immediately following surgery contour was perfect, then as swelling subsided I noticed this depression form at 2 weeks post op. I am currently 3 weeks post op. 1)Is there any reason to believe that contour will improve on it's own? (I am doing a lot of massaging) 2)What are the drawbacks of fat injections to address this issue? I've heard that this fat may die and become hard and look poor on animation. Thank you very much in advance.

A: Gynecomastia Surgery

Dear patient,
This is most likely due to removal of excess breast and fatty tissue. This is a difficult problem to correct, I would advise you consult your physician.
