I had a Radiesse treatment for naso-labial folds; no problems, loved the results. However, 4 months later, it's gone! What would cause such a quick reabsorbtion, especially when Radiesse is touted as lasting 6-12 mos.? Should I try a different filler?
Most patients experience longer lasting results than 4 months with Radiesse injections, although results are variable. Remember you may not recall your starting point. Its useful if your Dr takes before and after shots so you can accurately assess the results. If you liked the product I would stick with it and see how it goes with a second treatment. Finally results with injectable products are not all or none. You will see a gradual decline in the correction over the year, its likely still there but not enough to give you the result you had initially.
Hello there.I have restylane in my cheeks, but it is starting to dimish. I had quite a lot put in, and its going to leave a saggy face!!!I would like to use radiesse but i don't want to wait until the restylane is all gone. Is it ok to inject radiesse into the cheek where restylane may still be. Very grateful for an answer
You needn't wait for the restylane to dissolve...Radiesse can be injected in combination with restylane, and is often injected deeper, so they never really cross paths. Even if they were to cross paths, no issues...I have done this many times with no incident, as have many of my colleagues. Make sure to have a really experienced and trained injector for radiesse like a dermatologist since there is no antidote to dissolve it if you're unhappy with it in any way.
What is the Cost of Using Radiasse in the Cheek Area?
The cost of injecting Radiesse depends on how much Radiesse is required and who your injector is. The most important thing is to find an experienced injector with a detailed knowledge of anatomy and beauty, so a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Price hardly matters if you have an inexperienced or poorly trained injector who botches up your face - fixing mistakes will cost you a whole lot more.
