I had Juvederm in my lips a year ago with a repeated injection about a month later and the results both times lasted no more than 4 weeks. This past weekend I thought I would try it again and am afraid the same thing will happen. I want to go back to working out (pretty intensely) but I am afraid this could quicken the metabolism of the Juverderm? Is that possible or can I go ahead and start exercising again - I really miss it!
Every person breaks down or metabolizes a filler at different rates. Also, different areas of the face will have different amounts of longevity of the filler. That said, I do find that body builders in particular who clench their teeth, and strain their face, seem to metabolize botox and fillers more quickly.
Is It Ok to Get Facial Filler (Juvederm or Perlane) the Day After a Dental procedure, such as a crown or filling? I will be getting novocaine injections during the dental visit. Thank you.
I would wait at least 1 week to allow any swelling related to the dental procedure to subside so that your dermatologist or plastic surgeon can better assess how much filler to inject, for better symmetry. The anesthetic, other than the swelling aspect, is not of concern.
What are the main difference between Juvederm and Botox for treatment of wrinkles between the brows? Are they used together? What is the benefit of combining them? How much is used of each?
At the Toronto Dermatology Centre, we usually prefer to start with Botox treatments for the dynamic glabellar frown lines. Sometimes, a filler such as Juvederm can be used for deeper lines not responding to adequate Botox treatments
