I have done my IPL treatment on face a week ago but i find the growth to be more course than usual. Also i cant see any hair falling off from my face. I am not sure if the treatment really worked on me. I am of skin type 3 and have very dark hair.
IPL, like laser hair removal, works best on lighter skin with darker hair. I suggest being a little more patient. You will need several sessions and if this was your first, your treating physician may have begun cautiously to be certain that you are not harmed.
Hi. Recently I traveled to China and recieved laser hair removal treatments for my legs. I believe the machine used was an IPL machine. All of my cousins recieved the same treatments but none of them received any burns from it. The burns do not seem superficial and there were crusting and blistering. The blisters have popped wth no infections and some of the crust have fallen off. What can I do to prevent scarring. The doctor only recommended hydrocortisone and vitamin E. Please help!!!
The deeper burns must inevitably scar. The more superficial ones may cause discoloration. The key here is to make the best of the situation and try to minimize the adverse results. I suggest you consult a certified dermatologist as soon as possible.
My face seems to get very red in the wintertime and I've been told this is rosacea - I am very fair-skinned. Does IPL or photo facial effectively treat this and how long will the redness stay away?
IPL or BBL is an excellent treatment option for persistent redness, easy flushing, and dilated blood vessels, features of rosacea. Typically a series of 4-8 treatments is required, with maintenance therapy every 2-3 years or as needed (less often if rosacea triggers are avoided and you have diligent sunscreen use).
