What are the benefits of having one Active FX fraxel laser treatment? What other type of skin problems would see thebest results from Active FX? Does one Active FX fraxel laser treatment equal many regular fraxel laser treatments?
Active FX is an ablative laser versus the Fraxel restore is a non ablative laser. Active FX is ideal for treatment of facial photo aging. Results vary depending on each case and the settings used. In general one Active FX is equivalent to 5 or 6 conventional Fraxel Restore treatments for photoaging.
I have fine lines directly under my eyes. My doctor applied Botox to the outer eye area (where the lines were very minimal); but I still have fine lines. I've tried Fraxel under my eyes about 6 times last year, and saw a vast improvement. They still bother me though. Should I go back for more Fraxel to build more collagen? Thanks.
Dear Healthoneforlife, there are many good options for your eyelid skin as you can see from the multiple answers. Sometimes a simple pinch blepharoplasty is all that it takes to clean up some fine lines. This is done with a litle freezing and removing a small amount of skin and sutrures for 4 days.

It has been 2 days since my first Fraxel Restore treatment. My face feels like sandpaper and has a pattern of tiny brown spots on it. Is this normal, and will this go away?
The response your skin is having is entirely normal. The sandpaper effect is called bronzing and is a normal occurrence. The dark spots are also normal. The pigment that you are now seeing is also a normal response. This is the damaged pigment (or photo damaged skin) raising. This is actually positive and it will more than likely result in optimal outcome.
Stay moisturized and wear sunsceen even in inclimate weather. If you experience anything you are unsure of contact the doctor or technician that provided the treatment for a follow-up.
Good luck,
