I am a 41 yr old female and I weigh about 285 lbs. My height is 5 ft 9 in. How much weight must I lose to have a Body lift?
tryin2bsexi,
There is no ideal weight for a body lift. First, your weight should be stable (because loosing more weight will counter the benefits of the body lift). Second, you should have lost enough weight that now you have significant excess skin around your waist . Having only a little bit of skin excess does not warrant such an extensive surgery such as a body lift.
A key consideration in all of body contouring procedures after massive weight loss is that you are trading excess skin for excess scars. You need to consider if it's a worthwhile trade. (In our opinion it certainly is if you have a lot of excess skin!)

I am pretty thin, never had any weight problem and never had any plastic surgery on my body. However, I have sagging skin on both sides of my middle back. I can even pull it up to under my arms. It is only skin without fat. Is there a type of lift for that? It really bothers me a lot. Thank you for your help.

Although a picture would be beneficial, what you are describing would likely benefit from a 'bra line' lift, a procedure that removes excess unwanted skin on the back leaving behind a scar that should be located inline with your bra (so that when yo wear a bra it is not visible). This surgery, however, is ideal for a patient who has lost a lot of weight and has a lot of loose skin. If your skin excess is not that significant, you need to consider whether having the scar outweighs having the extra skin.

I'm a male 23 years old. I was 300 lbs. and now I'm 185 lbs. The problem is I have excess skin just above the penis area and around my stomach. Is there any exercise I can do to get rid of it? I work out a lot. What procedures are available to get rid of this? It’s really upsetting me. Please can you help and tell me how I can tighten this area? Thank you!
meohme,
It is actually very common to have a large skin excess around the penis in someone who lost as much weight as you have.
There is unfortunately no amount of exercise that you can do to address the excess skin that is left after a massive weight loss. The only way to treat it is to remove it through surgery. We often do this at the time of the tummy tuck, and incorporate the pubic pannus (excess skin) into our abdominal body contouring.
