Considering Breast Augmentation. Will 400cc Implants Get Me My Desired Look and a D Cup? (photo)

i am considering a breast augmentation, i am 5,6 i weigh 110 pounds and i want to go to a d, i was considering 400cc high profile implants or maybe even more, how many cc will i need to achieve this

A: The correct way to choose an implant

When choosing a breast implant, a cup size is only a guideline for several reason, and ultimately what matters is whether or not you like what you see when you look in a mirror, not what cup size bra fits you.

Choosing a breast implant is a critical step before having your breast augmentation because if you choose the wrong size you will be unhappy.  Most patients, if they are unhappy, feel that they should have gone bigger.  This is because when implants are placed under the skin (and especially under the muscle) they get compressed and look smaller than the sizer you may have tried in your surgeon's office.  Secondly, while right now an implant my look big to you, after you get used to it the 'large' implant will now seem normal to you and you will feel that going even bigger would not have been a bad choice.

See your board certified plastic surgeon, try out several different sizes, find the one you like then go a little bit bigger.

(and do take a very close look at yourself in a mirror.  realize you are not perfectly symmetrical and your breast will not be perfectly symmetrical after the surgery ... nobody is...)

Which Breast Lifting Technique Would Be Most Suitable? (photo)

I have consulted a board certified PS & am in process of scheduling the surgery. Dr. has said for perkiest look go for a full lift w/ augmentation, and for a more natural look go with a donut lift w/ augmentation. Below are photos of the look I'm after & my own breasts. I know "perky" and "natural" have different definitions depending on each person. Which lifting would bring mine to the same position and shape? I know all breasts are different, I am simply going for that "style" in the pics

A: Getting the lift you want with a full breast lift

To gro from your existing breast to the ones you would like, you need a lollipop type incision and a complete breast lift.  A donut lift will not give you the look you are looking for.  Looking at the volume of your breasts I would not use any implants at all, only your own breast tissue (you have enough of your own volume to give you the look in the left pictures)

Tooth Bonding on Front Teeth Discolors Easily, What Can I Do For This?

I have bonding on 6 of my front teeth. For the most part, I am happy with the look, but the bonding discolors easily. I have tried sticking to light colored beverages and applying petroleum jelly to them before I drink coffee or red wine, but this is so inconvenient and I still get some discoloration. Is there a way to prevent the darkening or to lighten them at home once the discoloration occurs? Do you recommend veneers instead? Thank you.

A: Bonding does stain more easily than porcelain veneers

One of the weaknesses of direct bonding is that it can discolour.  The newer materials are much more stain resistant than older materials.  If your bonding was done many years ago this may be part of the problem.  When resin is cured with a curing light it does not fully polymerize.  This means that there are still uncured portions in the resin which render it more porous so that it can more easily become stained.  Another reason it discolours is the chemistry of the filling materials which allow it to yellow more with time.  Finally, it is important for the dentist to polish the resin very well once the bonding is placed.  This makes it more cleansable and more stain resistant.

It sounds like you eat a very clean diet and take a lot of care to prevent staining.

Porcelain is much denser material and very stain resistant.

I would recommend that you speak with your dentist about this problem you are having and see if he can offer a solution.
