Will I need a face lift to fix my neck, I am only 42 and have extra skin on neck when I look down. Is it possible to do just a neck lift?
To me, a face lift is that procedur that corrects the jowl/cheek area and the neck at the same time. It's possibe to do an isolated cheek lift or neck lift, but most commonly one leads into the other for the best result.
I heard on tv about a week end lift that makes a facelift much easier and cheaper. what is this procedure? does it make sense for someone with jowels that sag just a bit and when house hold budget is a concern?
Doctors adopt names such as "weekend facelift" for marketing purposes. This is not a term generally accepted by plastic surgeons, so what is really is depends on what the doctor using the term means by it.
All cosmetic plastic surgery comes with risk, such as health complications like infection, and bad workmanship. We've all read about botched eye jobs, nose jobs, etc. Even a good plasic surgeon can, at times, do a not so good job. So wouldn't a mini face lift be less risky than a more extensive full face lift? And wouldn't a mini-lift be more likely to look more natural?
It's not true that a mini lift would look more natural. Sometimes looking natural requires more work! Skilled plastic surgeons aim for facial harmony, balance, natural results and minimal risk.
