I have brown spots on my forehead, above my eyebrows, cheeks and chin. It was due to birth control and hormones as it only appeared in my 30s. I had IPL done in August 2011 and it made my skin flawless. Yes now in May 2013 it is almost back to the way it was before. Anyone else experience this? Bummer. more
I have always had a reddish skin tone (I'm a fair-skinned Irish woman) with acne prone skin. I had this done maybe 3 or 4 times over a 2 year period and loved it. I found that while it did hurt a bit, it wasn't bad at all....plus, my pores appeared smaller and the ruddiness was almost completely gone. I have had multiple laser treatments with Dr D for my sun damaged neck and chest. My skin was so red and wrinkley but now it looks amazing. Dr D is an expert with lasers! I had some light freckles around my eyes, and my skin tone looked a little dull. My dermatologist told me IPL could get rid of the freckles and stimulate collagen production. I was quite nervous during the procedure because my eyes were... more
With new technology like thermage I wouldn't be surprised if I'm the last one to ever purchase IPL treatments. After looking over incredible b4's and after shots, I was convinced to purchase a series of IPL sessions for $2K (which is a ton of money for me). I got IPL for fine lines and Rosacea-like condition on my cheeks. Each session hurt A LOT. Nothing close to their warning... more
