I am 22 years old, and I have noticed for the past few years that the end part of my brows droop down. This gives a somewhat sad expression. I really want to correct this, and have tried botox before. I didn't get great results, and I am not sure why that is. I noticed when I tie my hair up in a ponytail, my brows look lifted and much better. It also compliments my eyes more. Is a lateral brow lift the only option here? I would like to try the least invasive thing that I can.
Dear Ameera4:
If you like the look you get with you hair tied back, and you can't get the same effect with Botox, then an endoscopic brow lift is likely to help. It is surgery, but can be done through small incisions placed within the hair. I cannot tell if you are a candidate via the Internet, but if an endoscopic brow lift sound less invasive enough, consider getting consultation in your area with a board certified plastic surgeon who is familiar with the endoscopic brow lift, and the alternative treatments.
I am a 24 year old female. I have very droopy eyebrows. Is it too early to get a browlift??
There are several indications for brow lifts. A heavy ptotic brow that "snowplows" the upper eyelid skin down onto the lid can occur at any age. This can often be improved with a brow lift, and you may be a candidate for the endoscopic approach.
I find I use endoscopic brow lifts more often in younger women with heavy upper lids. Since young women do not usually have deep transverse wrinkles running across their foreheads, of well formed from lines, some of the advantages of the open approach are lost.
The next step would be to see a board certified plastic surgeon in your area for a consultation. This will allow you to explore your options, and with the details in hand, you can make an informed decision about whether this is a good procedure for you.
