Are you a patient of Kouros Azar, MD?
Dr. Azar is by far the best physician I have ever come in contact with! His entire staff carry a strong and kind work ethic, making sure to go above and beyond expectations. Their strong ability follow through and follow up were one of the many things that impressed me! Dr. Azar is very detail oriented and a perfectionist in every which way; He will make sure that your procedure is perfect from beginning all the way through out, there is no leaving you in the dust at this office. They take care of you and make sure that only the best care is provided. Dr. Azar was so patient with all of my questions and multiple calls to the office, rather then brushing me off he put me at ease and explained in detail an answer to any uncertainty or questions I had. The best part of all-the results! I'm SO SO happy and ecstatic! When I tell friends or family about Dr Azar they are so impressed...they never had that kind of care during their surgery and the next time they get something done they will be sure to go to him!
Not only is he a fantastic plastic surgeon with a steady skilled hand and good eye for seeing the simple details that can be fixed to help make me look more beautiful, he's also a man of great integrity as well. I once asked him to do a procedure and he said no because it wasn't necessary and if I was one of his sisters he wouldn't let me do that.... That's why I feel so safe going to him. Another doctor with less integrity may have done that procedure for me in my moment of obsessive insecurity just to make money, but instead having him tell me I didn't need the procedure made my insecurity go away, and now I'm so glad he didn't let me do that! He's truly amazing. At least 3 of my other friends go to him and we all love him and think he's the absolute best! Not just as a doctor, but as person and an expert in his field.
Referred by esthetician, and had heard about him and seen his work before that referral, so I guess I was referred many times by the community and personally. Dr. Azar was referred to me by my esthetician, Corinnne Frayssinet. I've gone to him for several years now and have seen his liposuction and facelift work first hand. Although I see him for facial products, Botox and Juviderm, I've been to other doctors in my 47 years and can say he is truly and artist and always follows my requests for minimal invasion and a natural look. He's changed my skin for the better with the prescription skin care products as well.
Dear Dr. Azar It’s been slightly over one year since you performed my tummy tuck and liposuction. I so love my results!!!!! In my consultation you really listened to me and my needs. You took the time to explain the surgical, recovery processes and realistic results. You took a vested interest in my surgical outcome beyond my expectations. From day one you and your staff made me feel very comfortable. Even with all my follow up visits you and your staff still gave me the red carpet treatment. I'm so pleased with my surgical results...it has motivated me to go to the gym and better my results. I have received so many compliments. This surgery has changed my life and thanks to you it will only get better. Thank you Dr. Azar and Staff
The whole staff was so helpful and told me exactly what would happen and they were right on.
I'm very dissatisfied with dr Azar. I went in originally to talk to him about a laser he does for face, and left his office signed up for breast reconstruction from DCIS lumpectomy, and implant exchange. Dr Azar said he was an expert at this, and I believed him. The end result of the shape of my breasts and the implants is actually ok. One problem was he made my left breast nipple about 4 times the size of my right nipple. He attempted to fix it twice in his office, but it was exactly the same after! He said my skin kept stretching. (I have since had my nipples fixed and the new doctor fixed them on first attempt.) I asked him if he could try to make the right one bigger then? He said he was afraid of necrosis because I had radiation in that breast, 5 years before, and wouldn't take the chance. (I had 4 consultations with other surgeons later, and all of them agreed the chance of necrosis after 5 years was very slim.) He also performed micro liposuction on my abdomen to do fat transfer to fill up my right breast more, and make it look more natural. Well I guess he took too much fat, I'm slender to begin with, and left me with horrible dents in my tummy. You could see them through clothes. On a side note, it didn't improve the look of my right breast either. He then said he would do a trusculpt on my tummy to try and get rid of the dents and bulges he gave me. That didn't work either. Then he did more liposuction to try and even out my tummy. That didn't work. I finally gave up and consulted 4 other surgeons. They all had a different thought on how to try to fix my nipples and tummy. I decided on dr Georgeanna Huang, and I'm very pleased with the results on my nipples and tummy. It cost me more money, which I really didn't want to have to pay after dr Azar's steep fee, but I was so unhappy and self conscious, and just wanted to get on with my life! I gave him many chance to correct his work, for more than a year, but ultimately he couldn't get it right. One more thing that really bothered me- when he gave me his price, I asked him if I went in network of my insurance company would it cost me less money? His answer was, "no. Because you only had a lumpectomy, insurance companies don't cover reconstruction usually. I'm giving you a really good price, and if I am able to get anything from insurance great, but I will not charge you more if they don't. His quote for surgery was for over $20,000.00, but charged me around 13,000.00. Subsequent to the surgery, way after the fact, I was talking to my insurance company. I was told that if I had gone in network, I would have only had to pay $2,500.00! That California had a law to require all insurance companies to provide reconstruction post cancer to both breasts. It's hard for me to believe that Dr Azar was not aware of this law. His surgery manager, reiterated all the same things Dr Azar said about insurance reimbursement. She even went as far as to say," don't call them to talk to them about this surgery. Let me handle it, it's the best chance for any reimbursement, and it might keep them from paying any of the hospital charges." So I listened to them, and believed them. What a sucker I was.
