I asked earlier about lipo options but now have some pics for reference. There are a lot of options out there (Vaser, SmartLipo etc.) and i'm not sure which are marketing hype and which aren't. I'd love to get rid of this super stubborn fat on my tummy and love handles that stay despite exercise/diet. I'm 5'5 105ish lbs for reference. Any help/info/pricing is greatly appreciated!!
In Los Angeles patients are bombarded by many advertisments about the best and latest machines for liposuction. Many of these new machines are being advertised without adequate long term studies. In my personal experience of having used different machines and techniques the most important equipment is a talented Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, and not just someone who pretends to be a plastic surgeon and is trying to sell you a fancy equipment!
I recently went through a brazilian butt lift, where my upper/lower abs, flanks and upper/lower back were lipsuctioned to get fat to transfer to my butt.... Its bin 8 days, but my pubic mound is still very swollen and it also is swollen further down as well. (extremely swollen) Is this normal? I just had the drains removed on day 7, and travelled home (8hr flight) and everything is very puffed up... ankles and everyehitng. What should i do? will this swelling go down on its own? please help!
It is very common to have swelling of the pubic mons area after liposuction of the abdomen. In fact, this swelling often gets worse at about 3-4 weeks after surgery as the swelling from the upper abdomen sinks down to the pubic area. fortunately this resolves by about 8 weeks.
Hi, I consider myself to be fairly fit - I am 5'4", 135 lbs - I work out 3-4x a week doing cardio and strength training. I am about a size 6 in US sizes. I'm considering to get lipo on my inner thighs, so they do not 'touch' anymore. I just like the skinny jeans look, and my thighs have always looked a bit thick due to that pocket of fat. However, after reading this forum (especially the "did you gain weight after liposuction"), I am hesitating on getting liposuction. I definitely do not want the fat to return, or redistribute itself in a different area such as my arms or my back. If my body does not need much liposuction, would that still pose a big risk for me? If so, I'll run far away from lipo... but if it's very unlikely that it would happen, I'll still consider it.
it seems that you have a healthy lifestyle and therefore, after liposuction I expect you to be able to maintain your results long term.
