There is no way to guarantee that you will have a positive experience. The best you can do is ask the doctor about their experience in a particular procedure. Look at before and after pictures and speak to a patient if available. Many doctors have treated staff so perhaps you can see how their result looks. But remember, that you are looking at another patient with likely a very good result. That can't guarantee that your result will be the same, but it should give you more information to make your decision.

As others have commented, it doesn't add up. I'm assuming that the doctor injected one full syringe each time you were seen and not some fraction of a syringe. To get a nice subtle augmentation of the lip line, soften perioral rhytides (lines around the mouth), and add a little fullness to the lips usually only one syringe is necessary. If you truly have no results after 2 syringes, the only thing that might have occurred is that the product was placed too deeply. But again, you can't tell without an examination you so I would go back to the doctor who treated you and even then I would consider getting a second opinion.
