"Protein shakes are especially good for optimal incision healing." this is a DIRECT Quote from a doc here on RS. So can you tell us how much protein is optimal after a TT? I am fairly health concious. Make 99.9 % of our meals at home.VERY little "white" foods. We eat things like pinto,kidney,and black beans(dried not canned)and a cup of brown rice. Bass (we caught). or tuna & spinich. Almond butter, dried apricots and almonds for snacks.Bananas& blueberries on cherrios for BF. yogurt for desert
While they won't hurt, I do not believe that protein shakes by themselves will help with optimal healing. A balanced diet is all you need unless you are aware of a specific dietary deficiency you may have. Your diet sounds just fine for healing.
I am 42 y/o going in for a tummy tuck Dec 8 2011 i have a large chest 44DDD what happens to your breast after the tummy tuck if all the skin is pulled down so tight
I have not seen any significant long-term changes. We do both tummy tuck and breast augmentation together frequently and I do not believe much will happen to your breasts. Because the tummy will be smaller, the breasts may seem larger afterward because the large tummy helps to hide them now. Discuss your concerns ahead of time with your surgeon.
I am 5'4 and weigh 120lbs. I live in Orange County, CA. I work out 1.5/hrs. 5 days a week. I have had 3 pregnancies but have muscle separation and a little loose skin. Most surgeons website highlights their work on heavier set or people who are not relatively fit Or mini Tummy tucks. Can anyone recommend a plastic surgeon who has experience doing full TT and pictures of tummy tucks performed on skinnier more for a fit mom? Thanks!
A tummy tuck in a normal weight (or skinny person) is very similar to a regular tummy tuck. The main concerns are: 1. do you have enough skin for a full tummy tuck 2. are you aware that the scar will not be shorter just because you are skinnier.
In my Sonoma or Marin County tummy tuck patients, I make sure that I point out excatly where the scar may be and how long it will be. Most patients are thrilled to get rid of the skin that never goes away even with constant workouts. Best of luck, Dr. Canales
