Getting a Brazilian Butt Lift, Should I Lose a Little Weight First?

Hello, I'm planning on having the BBL procedure this year. My height is 5'2 and my weight is 175. Should I lose 20 more pounds before I have the procedure? My body shape is "V-shape". Also current jean size 14, after body contouring what size will I end up with? and what amount of fat will be removed overall? Thank you.

A: BBL can have dramatic results!

BBL is really two procedures in one.  The biggest and most complicated part is performing careful liposculpting to make sure you remove enough fat safely and to leave behind the right curves.  This alone will dramatically improve the shape of your back and buttocks.  The fat grafting to the buttocks for augmentation is technically a much smaller but equally important part of the surgery.  This is best done when you are closer to your healthiest weight; you don't want to be too overweight or too underweight.  Discuss your weight loss goals with your doctor.  The healthier you are the safer the surgery.  Make sure you go to a board-certified surgeon who performs this type of procedure regularly in a certified center (not in an office setting).  Depending on your health status and the experience of the doctor, large volumes up to 5 to 7 liters can be removed safely.  Good Luck

I'm Interested in -brazilian-butt-lift but I'm Not Sure if Candidate for the Surgery

I'm only 5'2 and weight 110 pounds i gave birth about 11months ago but I have alot fat in stomach from my pregnancy and love handles on sides I will like to know if I'm good candidate for Brazilian butt lift because weight it's hard for me to gain weight but if do I just in my mid section?

A: Great BBL depends on 4 factors Its very hard to evaluate your situation without photographs. In general you are a good candidate if: 1. you are a good candidate for liposuction to sculpt the right curves and to harvest adequate quantity and quality of fat...meaning you should have adequate love handles or saddlebags 2. you have to have adequate skin elasticity. if not, liposuction may lead to deformities, especially on your abdomen 3. you have to start with adequate volume and shape to your buttocks to achieve optimal results. If you have always had very flat, thin, or tight buttocks tissue, it is unlikely you will have significant improvement regardless of how much fat your surgeon can harvest. 4. most important, you need accesss to a surgeon experienced in performing many of these procedures to give you educated and realistic expectations. Best of luck
