Will my Face Look Odd if I Don't Have a Face Lift when I Have Under Eye Surgery

I am 56 years of age, I have fairly good skin but it is just starting to jowl a bit by my jaws. I am thinking of having upper and lower eye bag surgery as my top lid has some loose skin and the lower eye has bags and hollows. I think this is the main thing that makes me look old. I was concerned that if I have this operation done, would it make the rest of my face look odd? Would I need any other procedures at the same time?

A: Performing Cosmetic Surgery on one Area of the Face Only

Without an examination, it is difficult to answer your question.

If your eyes are the only areas which make you look old, then cosmetic surgery of those areas alone makes sense. However, every one is different, and your plastic surgeon should have the aesthetic eye to see into the future. Does operating on your eyes exaggerate the aging of the rest of your face or not?

Having said the above, you should not feel forced into doing more surgery. You ALWAYS have the option of staging your surgeries.  It is better to do less and move forward than to do too much and try to move back.

Can Sleeping Wrong Hurt Results of Facelift? I'm 5 months into my facelift. last night I slept flat on my back my head was more towards the end of one side of the pillow my face and neck was turned all the way to the right with my face partially off the side of the pillow which was pulling the left side of my face and neck very tight it was a firm and very thick pillow i slept like this for 3 hours would this have permanently stretched anything out on my face or neck?
A: Sleeping position after facelift

If you sleep flat or to one side of the face the first few weeks after a face lift, it may cause more swelling and bruising, and possibly affect the final result.  Five months is too far out to be concerned about sleeping position.
