I am looking for an advice and a great doctor who has a LOT of experience with GREAT results in blepharoplasty (eye lid) / midface procedure.
I need a good recommendation from someone who already did it. Please share this info with me if you can recommend me a very experienced doctor who focuses mainly on face/blepharoplasty.
I strongly believe in personal experience than in... more

Day #10 since surgery. I am OK and it will be OK, but it hasn't been a piece of cake. Decided to do it because my optometrist recommended it, based on one very droopy eyelid that interfered with upper peripheral vision. Also I hoped to look better. Medicare and my secondary insurance covered it all, deeming it necessary. That was motivating.
However, along with the expected post-surgery ... more
I'm a young Asian woman who wanted to have a more oval face and more symmetric upper eyelid folds. There are no specialists in Canada with Dr. Lay's experience.he was kind enough to write back to me over e-mail and discuss things over face time. After traveling to California for my surgery I felt nervous at first but then Dr. Lay and his staff made me feel very comfortable. The procedure went... more
I went to see Dr. Hessler because I feel like I've always had a "mean" look about me and I just wanted to see what a brow lift entailed. That said, I had never had any procedures before so I was really wary of doing something really drastic right away ... and Dr. Hessler was really understanding and helpful. She provided a few options - one was Ultherapy and the other was an upper bleph. I was... more
My eyelids were beginning to droop at the outer corners, and wrinkles were getting deeper around my eyes--especially laugh lines. I read about the Laser Eyelid Lift online and talked to Dr. Banthia and staff at Reviance in San Jose. He performs an intense laser procedure that, in a word, WORKS! Unlike the eyelid lift video I saw, that requires 3 sessions, mine was a single appointment,... more
I went to Dr. Hessler for eyelid surgery. The result was better than I expected. I barely had any bruising, very little swelling, you can barely see the incisions, and the recovery time was very fast. (couple days, few Tylenols)
I plan on having a facelift in the near future, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my face! more
After debating for years whether or not to have this surgery, I decided to go for it. I wish I had done it years ago! I've always had uneven eyelids, which didn't really bother me until one in particular became more saggy. I'm in my early 30s, and I felt like if it weren't for my saggy eyelids, I'd look much younger. I looked tired all the time, and my eyes and eyelashes didn't "pop" anymore... more
Where to begin! This was truly one of the best procedures I've ever done. After YEARS of wanting to get this done I was always scared. What if it all went wrong? There's no hiding your eyes.
After an exhaustive search for the right doctor, I did it. I, did, almost pulled out on the morning of the surgery but I bit the bullet and did it!
The recovery was quick and... more
To repair the deep wrinkles and dark circles that had formed under my eyes. The office was clean and well organized, and provided the initial feelings of a safe environment. The Dr. has an incredibly hard time listening to his patients or their concerns, and instead tries to change the subject to you requiring some other form of treatment in the hospital he operates out of, de more
My heavy upper eyelids are hereditary, and I always knew I'd have surgery someday. At age 50 they were beginning to sag so much that my eyelashes were getting caught in the creases. So, in early December 2008 I had an upper blepharoplasty.
I had only local anesthesia (combined with a shot of Demerol and a Valium). The most pain I experienced was the Demerol shot! The rest was a breeze. It was... more
