My OB/GYN recommended a consultation with Dr. Lepore for my persistent back ache and deteriorating posture. My subsequent appointments with Dr. Lepore were fast and his staff was professional and effective throughout the process. My breast reduction was in December, 2013 . Dr. Lepore was very caring and had excellent "bedside manners". He listened well, answered all my questions and... more
I have had large breasts my entire life. Boys use to tease me in high school. My mom always use to say that I got all the breast material from her and my sister, they have small breasts.
I have had three children, two breast fed.
I was approved and going to have the procedure in 09 but I chickened out. I have had them for so long and women pay so much for breasts like mine, but now,... more
I have known since I was ~14 years old and a 32C that I would someday need a breast reduction, and here we are! At 5'8" and 125 lbs I am carrying a full size 34DD/34DDD set of breasts, and ready for some relief! My shoulders ache daily from my bra straps, my neck/back worry me that I will be a hunchback old lady from having my center of gravity shifting my posture inward/over. I try to... more
I've had large breasts and
Considered breast reduction since high school. I have permanent indentations on my shoulders. Have a hard time finding bras. Im either spilling out the top or falling out the bottom. I get a massage every 2 weeks for neck and shoulder pain and have been treated for migraines for years. My insurance authorized the surgery with little or no questions. Now I have mixed... more
So today I had my surgery. It went good. I acted very non-nonchalant because I was afraid that I wouldn't make it. Breasts Reduction Surgery is not something that is very common in my family even though almost all the women in my mothers side of the family suffer from larger painful breasts. Since I was 26 with no children I think I was a little frown upon for why I decided to go through with... more
I have always had large breasts... but not good ones. They were heavy, and droopy. My areolas were huge, and my nipples always pointed due south. When I fit them into a bra, they would always spill out, even though in theory, I was wearing the "correct" sized bra. I likened my boobs to marbles in pantyhose; too much volume at the bottom, not much at the top. When carefully stuffed into a... more
When I was 13 years old I went from flat chested to a D cup in less than six months. Some of the growth was so rapid that I could actually see stretch marks forming day by day. It only got worse - by the time I was 18 I was well out of any bra size that regular stores sell and in fact I hadn't even bothered to find or wear bras in years. They were droopy too of course, so I wore baggy... more
I am just about 6 months out from having a breast reduction, lift and removal via liposuction of accessory breast tissue under my arms. I'm 30 years old and had wanted this surgery since I was in my teens. I met with a couple of other doctors, but felt Dr. Lepore really understood what I wanted.
My main concerns were reducing my size while still having my chest look perky, full and... more
When I was 9 yrs old puberty hit hard and fast. By the 4th grade the older girls were giving me a hard time, jealous that I had boobs and they didn't. As I got older, my breasts got bigger. Gained weight, boobs bigger. Lost weight, boobs...still big. Now I'm to the point of having a constant ache between my shoulder blades, soreness from my bra straps, and a neck and ribcage that are out of... more
I'm 60, married, two adult "kids." 5'4" 36DDD. I was thin my whole life but still had big boobs. I was always self-concsious and hated the size but figured that's just the way it is. Since menopause, I've put on 20 lbs and I'm now bigger than ever. I've been reading everyone's stories for a while now. I actually got the nerve to see a PS and was surprised that my insurance will pay for a... more
After many years of contemplating I've finally decided to do this again. I was never happy with my reduction 14 years ago. I was not reduced at all (though I was lifted but never went down in bra size) and was left with a very ugly scar due to not healing properly. I am now scheduled for a repeat reduction for April 2. I'm currently a 34DDD and want to be a 34B/C. I love my new PS and... more
After wanting this for 10 yrs, I finally have a date set. I'm 60 yrs young and a 38 G. So tired of all the neck and shoulder pain. Not afraid at all. I had a tummy tuck a few yrs ago and the pain was not bad at all. Husband is super supportive, which really helps. I hope to be a C cup approx. when done. Looking forward to losing the grooves in my shoulders.
So far, I'm not nervous. Probably... more
I had a breast reduction its been 3 months and my PS had a resident working on me with him. The resident did the right breast and it looks horrible. I see him tomorrow in hopes that he will do a revision to make this look right. I can't even wear a bra because it cuts right into the indentation. I was told he was going to do something about the axillary part under my arms but nothing was done... more
I have been reading and gathering info from your wonderful site for a few months . Ladies you sound so positive and happy . I hope to be able to report something positive soon. So I am 54 and have tried once before about 6 years ago for breast reduction . But my insurance refused to pay.I think it was Aetna . So here I am again waiting on an answer from Blue Shield of CA PPO . I have a lot... more
I'm one week away from surgery and I still can't convience my boyfriend!
Last week I bought 3 post surgery bras, today I ordered my scar gel, Kelo-Cote. My house is clean, laundry is done, but I just can't seem to get him to agree. He gets very upset just talking about it. I have been considering the reduction for about 5 yrs now. I'm a 36D but I'm only 5 ft. tall and weight 125lbs. My boobs... more
I'm one month from turning 39 and am currently cramming myself into 36FF bras. I've been as high as 36I and I've come to hate them. I try to look at them as sexy...as what "other women" pay thousands of dollars to try to get, or so I've been told by men who think "I'm out of my mind for REDUCING them." But, enough is enough. Other women are NOT paying thousands of dollars to have to buy bras... more
