I want to get treatment for my rough skin texture. Are the holes mainly large scarred pores or scars? Which treatment(s) may respond best?
Spectra Laser by Lutronic has taken the Q-switched Nd:Yag laser to higher level by adding Carbon lotion application prior to treatment which focuses the laser energy on pores and hair follicles. Via its photoacoustic effect, we have witnessed consistent pore size reduction with 2 sessions of no-downtime treatments (though most would benefit from a series of 5, a month a part). There will be incremental scar revisional benefit as well via collagen remodeling. I also recommend application of prescription strength topical retinoid to keep pore sizes small.
I'm 33. The area around my eye orbit is begining to sink in a little. It's not as smooth as it was years back. What is the best solution that won't put a dent in my wallet? I tried botox and it made my problem worse around the eyes. Is that possible?
I would recommend Restylane to treat the "tear troughs" or under-eye hollows. Filling this area can reduce the tired, bags-under-the-eyes look by yielding a smooth transition between the lower eyelid and cheek. One syringe is usually more than enough to correct both sides. The skin under the eye is quite thin and therefore this injection area should only be performed by experienced practitioners. One of the advantages of Restylane is its ability to be quickly and easily dissolved if there is a lump or area of irregularity. For the nasolabial folds, any number of fillers including Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Radiesse and Sculptra can be used.

I am 39 yrs old and 18 months ago, I had a full face CO2 Laser rejuvenation. Despite overall improved skin quality in the past 6 months, I have developed under eye bags, creping, shadows and upper cheek volume loss. I look tired and worn out. When I pull the skin of my face back slightly, it improves.
I wonder if the Laser treatment tightened the skin and now it has 'dropped', not back to its previous position, but worse than before? I am loathe to use dermal fillers. Can anyone recommend a suitable laser treatment for this issue? Thanks.
While fractional CO2 laser resurfacing can help to tighten and smooth fine lines, unless you replenish lost volume along upper 1/2 of the face with Sculptra (delayed but more natural gratification) or Radiesse (immediate gratification), you may not be fully satisfied.
