Results Surpassed my Expectations. Evan Ransom is More of an Artist Than a Surgeon - San Francisco, CA
Show More St. Francis Hospital staff in SF was exceptionally professional and went the extra mile with me after the surgery when I was exhausted, hungry, weak from the anesthesia, and sore from the gurney. They worked with my friend to clean me up and get me dressed to be presentable, and did not rush me out the door in a taxi. IMHO, the hospital staff and the post-op were extremely important in my overall positive experience. It could easily have been a messy nightmare without these people.

Definitely worthwhile, and I am very pleased with the outcome. - Upper Eyelid Surgery - San Francisco, CA
Show More Dr. Ransom is fantastic! I asked him to be relatively conservative because I am on the younger side, and didnt want to look like I had work. He did an amazing job- small sutures, quick healing, and I was able to get back to normal in about 5-7 days. Even my mom, who was with me during the pre-op, and is VERY discerning, loved the outcome. I come from a medical family (mom is a nurse, dad is a surgeon), so he had some very critical judges! He has a great aesthetic, and his reconstructive work is amazing. Have a look at some of the things he has done for people- truly life changing.

Show More I can't speak highly enough in regards to the treatment I received from Dr Evan Ransom. His professionalism, conscientiousness, artistry, attention to detail was so evident, in regards to a hairline fracture I had received on my cheekbone from a hit. I had gotten X-rays and a radiologist said all was well. However the swelling idn't disperse, as it should have for quite some time. It was then i contacted Dr Ransom. He pointed out on the X-ray the damage the Radiologist had missed and that we would have to correct the problem. His intelligent and calm demeanor also helped me decide to go ahead and get a facelift, without any references. His patient coordinator, Dee was also extremely helpful through the entire process. I just knew he would do the right kind of facelift, one that looked natural. I can now say I am truly ecstatic with my results and I am eternally grateful for his good eyes! I hope others will follow suit and know that this surgeon is the one for you! Thank you Dr Ransom and Dee for everything--as I will refer others.

Show More I would agree with most reviewers that Dr Ransom is relaxed and friendly and not pushy at all. He is talented and intelligent. I also like that he performs free surgeries for underprivileged children who are born with cleft palates
5 out of 5 stars Botox
Show More Dr. Ransom was very polite and gentle when he performed the Botox procedure. He also explained a face lift procedure, that I am considering, very thoroughly. I was able to see the result of a procedure that he performed on a friend of mine and I was sold. Her face looks beautiful. I would like for him to perform the face lift on me too.

5 out of 5 stars Mole Removal
Facial Mole Removal (Excision)- Excellent Results, Affordable Pricing, and Very Pleasant Experience. - San Francisco, CA
Show More I saw Dr. Ransom to get an second opinion on removing a facial mole after another facial plastic surgeon told me it would cost $1,500 to do the excision. In contrast, Dr. Ransom charged less than half that and is just as highly educated/qualified (if not more so?) than that first surgeon. Since I had already spent a lot of time researching his experience and reviews (I'm a worrier and I overdid it), I had a measure of confidence in him when I went in for my consultation. He is friendly, attentive, and clearly explained what to expect -- he truly comes across as a really nice guy. We talked about the procedure in his office and then went into the exam room so that he could mark where he would do the incision. He marks my face, it looks good, and a painless hour later, the mole was gone and I eight neat visible sutures on my face (he did another layer underneath too). I was super nervous during the procedure, so it was comforting that Dr. Ransom was so personable and that Dee, his assistant, was also there to help make conversation to distract me. Five days later, I went back to have the sutures removed. Glue was applied to the incision, covered by a piece of medical tape, to help hold it together. When the glue/tape started peeling off earlier than expected, I left a message at the office and Dr. Ransom returned my call very quickly and assured me it was fine. After the tape fell off, I used a combination of silicone sheets cut to fit the scar ($30 at the drug store) and the Biocorneum silicone gel ($42 from his office). Just 13 days after the procedure, it was healing very nicely and I could already tell that I would have a very small, thin, and well-placed scar. The follow up care from Dr. Ransom was fantastic. After the sutures were removed, I saw Dr. Ransom about every 3-6 weeks until 5 months post-procedure just to ensure that the scar was healing well. Honestly, I probably didn't need to go that often, but it wasn't inconvenient for me and I figured that more monitoring couldn't hurt. For the first couple months, the scar was a slightly raised and with a little redness. He did one steroid injection into the scar to help it flatten out. After about 6 months, I noticed the scar was perfectly flat and pink. The color of the scar was my fault; while I was initially very diligent with the silicone gel, sunscreen, and silicone patches, I stopped in the weeks after the sutures were remove. Dr. Ransom consistently encouraged me to keep using the silicone gel and sunscreen to have the redness fade sooner, but I was lazy and covered up the color with makeup instead. As I approached a year, the scar really started to lose the remaining pinkness. Now, a year and four months later, the scar color completely blends in with my skin and is completely flat. The scar was difficult to photograph since it is only visible under certain lighting. I can't even feel or see it unless the skin is pulled taut. The scar's placement is also perfect -- when I smile and the skin is pulled taut, the scar still blends in. I'm thrilled with the results, which entirely exceeded my high expectations. Also, all those 10-15 minute follow up visits and the steroid injection were included in the original $650 price, which felt like a great value since I didn't expect that much post-procedure care. Dr. Rassen was very professional, skilled, and a genuinely nice guy. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to him if I ever want something else done.
