Will Vaser Lipo on Abdomen Make my Skin Sag?

I have had 4 kids and I am cosidering Vaser Liposuction will my skin sag? I am 23 years old, standing 5'6" tall, weighing in at 151 lbs. My skin is now a little loose after giving birth. l  am just concerned that after the surgery it will sag and I dont want it to look worse after than before.

A: Liposuction Candidate?

Thank you for the question and picture.

Based on your history of pregnancies I am,  like you,  concerned about the skin elasticity and the results you may have if you undergo liposuction surgery. Although it is hard to give you good advice without direct examination,  most patients in your situation do better with tummy tuck surgery.

Good skin elasticity is also an important  attribute  of the patient undergoing liposuction surgery. As we age or gain/lose weight we generally  lose some skin elasticity. After the liposuction procedure we are depending on the skin elasticity to allow the skin envelope to “shrink” to fit the reduced contour resulting from the liposuction procedure.

It may be in your best interests to seek in person consultation with a well experienced board-certified plastic surgeon.

Best wishes.

Will my Skin Sag After Vaser Lipo?

I'm considering having my neck, upper and lower abs done with Vaser liposuction. I have already met with one doctor for a consultation. Will my skin reshape and not be saggy after the procedure?

A: Skin Appearance after Liposuction?

Thank you for the question.

The quality of the skin overlying the area to be treated with liposuction is critical in determining the success of the operation.

Who is a Good Candidate for Vaser Liposuction?

i weigh 220 pounds. after i gave birth my belly stay almost the same from when i was pregant and saggy i had a c-section. am I a good candidate?

A: Liposuction Candidate?

Thank you for the question.

A good liposuction candidate is a patient who presents with diet and exercise resistant adipose tissue isolated to specific areas. These patients are not  looking for a weight loss solution. On the other hand " ideal weight” can be somewhat arbitrary and is not an  absolute criteria in determining candidates for the procedure.

Based on your description of “saggy"  skin I fear that you do not meet this criteria.

It may be in your best interests to seek in person consultation with a well experienced board-certified plastic surgeon.

Best wishes.
