I had a full surgical facelift at 48. It included neck and brow plus I had my eyes lifted too. Great result. I am now 61 and am getting some sag and jowls again (minimal). Would a mini face lift now be a good option for me? Thank you.
Yes, a "mini" may be all you need to get you back to looking and feeling your best. However, it depends on your lifestyle (smoking, sun exposure), and natural aging factors. Occasionally other procedures such as fat grafting and skin resurfacing play a role in secondary facelift surgery.
why do some doctors do mini or s-lifts with local and others more asleep anesthesia?
Thank you for the question.
Facelift surgery can be done under local, IV sedation, or general anesthesia. In my opinion, more important than the type of anesthesia used is the selection of plastic surgeon. Make this selection process your first priority; not the type of anesthesia used.
Best wishes.
Hi, I'm 32, I have this 'jowly' appearance as seen in this photo. Would some kind of mini facelift or other procedure help? What about liposuction? Thanks
A "mini facelift" is usually done for minimal loose skin in the upper neck and lower face/jawline area and is usually of limited value for contour irregularities. Fat removal and/or filler injections may be more apprpriate and are less expensive than a face lift. Consultations with 2 or 3 experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeons who lister to your concerns will help you make the right decisions
