My experience was a wonderful one. I always suffered from inheriting an italian nose, that was oversized for my face. I went to concultations with many doctors and found that Dr. K's consult was beyond any of those other consultation experiences. He made me feel very comfortable and made sure I understood every part to the rhinoplasty process. I feel that this office is execptional when it comes to being personable and truly caring for their patients. They take into consideration each patients wishes and tailor to every need. Thanks to Dr. K and his knowledge I have the nose I have always dreamed of having!

FYI-about the cost. I had a fat transfer and lower eye lid tuck in addition to the rhinoplasty so I'm not sure of the actual cost. I may have gotten a break in price because I had been to him previously. The reason to use Dr. K is skill with providing the results you want. Everyone in his office is terrific but the main reason is the surgical skill so that you get natural looking results. I'm not going to share my photo's on line but you can ask him to see my photo's and others.

I was pleasently surprised when Dr K asked me to reconsider my decision and do the procedure once I was mentally prepared and completely sure I wanted to do it. He said so due to a couple of reasons 1. I was more than just nervous and I had backed off once before since I was too scared 2. He was worried that if the result wasn't what I expected I would not take it easily and that I wasn't mentally prepared 3. since what I wanted was not something that was required to make a huge difference in my appearance but just for my personal satisfaction This was the second time he had done something like this and as a patient he had won my complete confidence coz I knew his patients satisfaction mattered to him the most. The first time I backed out of a procedure after making the payment since I was scared. He took the time to talk to me and help me relax. I was already informed that the entire amount would not be reimbursed if I'd backed out. But despite this he asked for my entire payment to be credited since this is not something I was comfortable doing at the time.

dr. k is a wonderful doctor! he and his staff are professional, yet they are warm and care about my well being. i get botox and restylane from dr. k and i love his "less is more" approach. also, even though i only get botox and restylane at this point he always does them himself and makes me feel just as important as those that see him for more major and costly procedures. thank you carmel valley facial plastic surgery!

His focus is faces only. He know just the right amount of treatment and work that needs to be done and won't be pursuaded by the patient. The end result is the face and he is maticulous in ensuring that the work is appropriate, not obvious but complimentary. I would do it again and again. It changed everything about my appearance without looking plastic or overdone.

Highly recommended. He's certainly not the cheapest surgeon around, but when you're getting work on something as prominent as the nose, it's really important to go for quality. In my experience, his aesthetics emphasize a natural look to the shape of the nose such that he errs on the conservative side. Unless you are going for the Michael Jackson look, this is the sense of beauty that someone operating on your face ought to have. Office environment is comfortable, well-designed (ostensibly by him, though I have doubts), and the staff are really hot and really nice. At the end of the day, none of that matters because what you want is a good result. However, it makes the process very comfortable.

When it comes to my face, I don't want to take chances or cut corners. It's simply not worth the risk. It's difficult to put into words how safe I felt with my doctor. He listened to what I wanted, didn't pressure me into any procedures I wasn't ready for, and produced a result that was beyond what I expected.

The one thing that also stands out with Dr. Karam is that he wants his patients to be happy with the resuts. Dr. is a perfectionist who is very honest about what can and cannot be done... and what he recommends would look best for you personally. He is more than a doctor, he is an artist who takes meticulous care to achieve natural results. I will not go to any other facial surgeon even though I have moved to another state.

I have rated Dr. Amir Karam excellent in all of the above categories due to the care that I received from him and his entire staff from beginning to end. I researched Dr. Karam background as well as other plastic surgeons in the area, and am so delighted that I selected him. I received an SI facelift, an eye pinch, and a full fat transfer. I knew that Dr. Karam is an expert in fat transfers. I know that this procedure is still relatively new and that some are skeptical regarding its lasting results. My mom and I researched so many doctors and went to a few consultations, but once we were acquainted with Dr. Karam, we felt he would be the best doctor for my needs. Dr. Karam's passion for his practice and desire to adhere to his patient's desires was emulated to us at our first consultation. He is such a caring, attentive doctor and his staff is also incredibly caring and attentive and they go above and beyond in answering any inquiries you have and putting all your uncertainties to rest. He is the absolute best and I would never go to anyone else for a procedure as pivotal as a rhinoplasty, or any others, for that matter!

After you have been at Dr. Karam's office, there simply is no other place. You are so well received, they care so genuinely about you getting what you want. I, for example, is very conservative, never wear make up, and Dr. Karam is so respectful of that. Never tries to talk me into doing more than what I would feel comfortable with. I have done upper and lower eye lid surgery and fat transfer and it looks amazing, still after three years. I have also had botox and juvaderm and it just looks great. You really feel that you're in good hands when the staff themselves don't look like wax dolls (which is the case at many other clinics). Dr. Karam's clinic is pricier than many other clinics, but I love them and just feel safe there. It is absolutely worthwhile to wait and save up a few extra months and knowing that you will walk out of there 100% satisfied.

Doctor Karam only works on Faces, so I felt quite confident in him after doing tons of research and in interviewing others. He is AMAZING, he's not all talk, he knows what will work with your facial features and what won't. He is honest and will not try to make you into something your not! I'm a licensed esthetician, so for me I'm very particular with who works on my face, from my facials to who does my fillers, to actual surgery. Hands down, he had the best bedside manner, as well as the best surgical mind and hands! he answered all questions we had in depth if we needed it. After Care was AMAZING. Both phone and email responses are immediate, the staff is beautiful inside as well as out. The pricing was totally fair. The Staff plan for your visit, so wait times were NEVER a issue. My after photo was taken yesterday, a year and a half after the before photo you see! AMAZING! I couldn't be happier!!!!

Dr and staff very nice, but the procedure was a failure, and it feels like a win-lose: The Dr. wins, and I lose. I do not feel like I got my money's worth at all. Wish i hadn't let myself be talked into this procedure. Must be a money-maker or easier for the doc compared to face lift. Feel the staff tried to convince me I got results I did not get, kind of manipulative. Very disappointed and unhappy, out $8000 for nothing.

He appears to get get very good, consistent results, he only does faces so lots of time on the same procedures, and great staff. As far as the staff, Dr. K is one of the nicest doctors I’ve met who will spend as much time as you want if you make it clear that you want that time for questions. Dr. K took as much time as I needed from him to explain the procedures and what would be best for me. He is professional and an excellent plastic surgeon. I recommend Dr. K and have the highest regard for him and his office staff. He is professional, caring and I knew from our conversations that he would give me the face lift that benefited my facial structure instead of feeling as though he did each surgery the same and I was just another patient. That is not the case at all. He tailored my surgery specifically to what I needed.

I went for my consultation and we discussed fat transfer as well. Dr. K and his whole staff are very warm and welcoming. They made me feel relaxed and well taken care of. When searching for a plastic surgeons I wanted a younger doctor, one that I knew would be around a long time. I also really liked that Dr. K only does faces.

They will take as much time with you as you need to understand your procedure and healing process, and are very supportive throughout the procedure and recovery. Dr. Karam also teaches at the university when he is not caring for his patients. He is a very dedicated physician, and the best in San Diego County. Avoid the reduced prices you may see elsewhere--you will only get reduced service and reduced results. All surgeons are not the same. You want only the best for your face. I heard about him from Rancho Coastal Magazine. He's been voted top surgeon in San Diego by the readers for several years in row. No surprise there! After meeting with him and seeing several of his Before and After photos of other eye rejuvenation procedures, I was convinced without a doubt, that Dr. Karam is the surgeon in my area to go to for facial procedures. Every single photo I saw, showed positively beautiful and natural results. I wanted a result just like the one's I was seeing in his photos.

After months and months of research, I found Dr. Karam's website. His before and after pictures amazed me and I would stare at them day after day. After emailing for a consultation but deciding to wait, I went back to his site a year later, still amazed. During my consultation he stated everything that he thought should be done and literally read my mind. I always said that I would choose the best doctor around if I ever had the chance to go through with the surgery and I truly feel that he is. My rhinoplasty operation went smoothly and I felt the best I ever have after coming out of anesthesia. I had basically no bruising and feel like an entirely new person only one day after cast removal. I could not be happier with my decision to choose Dr. Karam and his staff and would make the same choice over and over again!

www.Realself.com Dr. Karam and his staff are amazingly nice and they sent me flowers while healing at home. But for what results I see so far and what I put out...I don't think its worth it. He is over priced and thank goodness I didn't get lumps! This procedure will screw you up if your doctor is NOT experienced and does this procedure on a daily basis. By the way, when I emailed the gal who took my payment about not being satisfied, she never emailed me back. It has now been 3 months. She is usually good at emailing you in the same day or next day to collect money and answer questions if your a new customer. Go figure! Regret it? Maybe.

I did lots of research and visited several highly acclaimed surgeons in San Diego. I was terrified to do this as I have always been happy with my overall appearance. However, my eyes had really started to show my age and I was finally ready to take action. I found Dr. Karam through the fantastic online reviews and before and after pics on his outstanding website. I wouldn't hesitate to use Dr. Karam for any facial procedure you are contemplating. He is a master of what he does. It is worth the higher price.

Still after research, recommendations and even consultations with a surgeon in San Diego and and another in Beverly Hills, I decided on Dr. Karam. Best decision of my life. Dr. Karam does wonderful work. His staff is really nice and very organized. Dr. Karam understands bone structure and different skin types. He will tell you what type of results that you can expect but he won't tell you what you want to hear. I would choose him again as my facial surgeon. Really.
