I had upper and lower blepharoplasty two years ago. I wanted to get rid of the eye bags that I’d had since I was a child. I have had chemosis ever since. I have seen a total of six different doctors. I had snip conjuntivoplasty surgery at UCLA one year after the original procedure to relieve the chemosis in my right eye. It certainly helped but did not resolve the problem completely. At this... more
I am worried about my eye surgery as it will also be a surgery for a face/neck / temporal lift at the same time. Besides my neck, my deep hollows under both eyes has been my biggest problem. I see ALOT of removing fat / bags, but not about how the hollows are best treated, I don't have any fat to move around ,according to Pl , and he said fat-grafting doesn't last, so he will not do it unless... more
The second procedure was just because (removing bags below my eyes) he could do it and what a difference! Friends notice that I look "rested" and nothing more. I can't believe there was no pain involved, and I also had no bruising. The slight swelling was remedied in a couple of days. I would do it again in a minute... more
My eye lids were starting to "fall down" and I was constantly pulling my fore head up to keep them out of my eyes. This lead to head aches and muscle straining. Also, it looked pretty horrible! The surgery was one of the best decisions of my life! Since I was at it and "under the knife" anyway, I also asked to have the lower eye lids done and fat transfer. It was great. more
I always am frustrated when people post reviews just days after their surgery and then never follow up...after all, things can REALLY change a year or two down the road. It's four years since my upper eyelid surgery for my inherited droopy eyes (they looked good on Dad, but not on me)!
I've sometimes been skeptical about the results, because I do still have a scar along the crease... more
I had researched and consulted with five plastic surgeons in San diego for blepharoplasty and I found Dr. K the best surgeon to do my upper and lower eyelid surgery. He explained to me what needs to be done, and rightway I trusted Dr. K that my expectations will be achieved.
I showed him my photos when I was 30 years old, my eyes looked brilliant, tantalizing and beautiful. I am now 60... more
Inherited unattractive, puffy/hoody eyelids and wanted them corrected. I can not recall the cost of surgery, but it was reasonable.
I'm african-american and prone to keloid and scarring. I experience neither with Dr. A. Now, 7 years later I still look amazing. more
In my family we have eyelids that are very "heavy" looking. Over the years my friends and family always asked if I was "tired" as that is the way I looked. I am very much into fitness and I could change my body by fitness and nutriton, but I could not do anything about my eyelids.
I decided that I wanted my face to look like what I felt-very vibrant! After meeting with... more
I waited a long time to do this surgery, even after friends and family told me I needed it. In the end, I wish I had done it sooner. I had a great experience from beginning to end. Very easy surgery with great results. Was only out of commission for about a week, and am thrilled when I look in the mirror and see the results. more
Pros: The experience was very positive. Fat deposits were removed from my upper and lower eyelids.Cons: Recovery time about a week however still able to work.I had the procedure because my eyes were starting to droop and I did not like the feel of the heaviness of my upper eye lid. Also, my lower eye would be so puffy in the morning and feel like they were swollen. They felt horrible.I am... more
Slowly approaching 50 my eyes started to look tired and the upper lids had alittle to much skin, which interfeared with appling eye makeup.I first had the lower done and was so pleased that I returned to have the upper lids done. I also had fat injected into my checks to get them a plump apperance. I absolutly love it. Even when I am tried you can't tell it in my eyes. more
I wanted to remove the 'droops' above and the 'bags' below and my Dr spent time with me evaluating the right approach, both surgically and with fillers. The results are fabulous. What I really appreciated was his empathy and understanding of what I wanted and how we could put a plan together that REALLY worked. more
I had upper/lower blep 07/13 and devloped a keloid in lower inner left eye. K-pak treatment (9 days later), resolved keloid but inner eyelid still tucked in towards eyeball and rubbing. Lower lid is pulled down revealing more of the eyeball. Looks like I have a glass eye. My surgeon said it's normal? My eyeball feels very exposed. I realize it may be too soon to tell if my lower lid will... more
