Safest Treatment for Sun Damage and Broken Capillaries in Sensitive Skin?

I was diagnosed with mild Rosacea 3 years ago. After being on a low-dosage Isotretinoin for 9 months my skin stabilised. I have some sun damage and brown spots/patches, I have several broken capillaries around my nose, my pores are enlarged and skin looks rough. I am currently using Obagi Nu derm with Tretinoin 0.05 which seems to even out the skin tone but I would like to get treatment for the redness and roughness. Which is safest: Sciton BBL or Pulsed Dye Laser?

A: Pulsed dye laser for rosacea

I prefer the pulsed dye laser for redness and roughness on the skin. You can consider combining an IPL device witht the pulsed dye laser so that the brown patches could be eradicated along with the facial redness. I usually find 3-5 treatments are necessary for optimal results. Good luck.

I Had a Botox Treatment in Mid Dec. Will Ulthera Still Be Just As Effective?

Would waiting give a better outcome to the Ulthera treatment. It has been 2 months since receiving the box. If the muscle is paralyzed from the Botox how would the muscle be able to lift from the Ulthera?

A: Ulthera and Botox

These treatments are complimentary and I often combine them in the same treatment session. If you had Botox two months ago then that should actually enhance your results with the Ulthera procedure. Good luck!

What is the Best Laser to Use on Acne Scars (Pitted) on Light Olive, Hispanic Skin?

A: Fractional ablative lasers

Any fractional laser will improve the scars as long as the treatment is not too aggressive.  My favorite is the Deep Fx, which is a fractionated CO2 laser.  With your skin type, a lighter setting is used to improve the scars, although pitted scars tend to require a few treatments.
