I Have a Bump and Scar on my Forehead, How Do I Remove It? (photo)

When I was 10, while running I accidentally hit edge of a concrete pillar with my forehead, and the doctors put some stitches on the wound. When the wound healed I had a scar and also with passing years a small bump kind of thing started to appear. I then had a surgery which made things worse, the doctor removed some dead tissue from there, but now the scar is move visible and the bump also doesn't look any better. What surgeries or procedures will help me get rid of it? How much will it cost?

A: You need a proper evaluation first

Hello,

Seeing a this problem was operated and the improvement was not-so-great, a better evaluation before more surgery might be a good idea. First you should be examined by a good plastic surgeon and go from there.

Help Needed for Sensitive Surgical Scar on Knees, Options? (photo)

Had bilateral total knee replacement 7 weeks ago. Doctor suggested massaging the scar to help with sensitivity and said that I could use any lotion or cream. I have only used normal moisturizers so far. Sensitivity is improving but not fast enough to wear normal clothes yet without getting massively irritated. Is there anything that I can do to help with the sensitivity faster? What is the best lotion or cream for big scars? What will help with the tightness?

A: Scar needs to mature

Hello,

This scar is early in its process of maturing. Keep it out of the sun and consider silicone sheeting products. You might also want to get an evaluation by a good plastic surgeon to tailor your management further. In a year, when the scar is mature you can consider other therapy if the scar has not improved to your liking.

Is There Any Hope for Removing a Badly Indented Scar?

The scar is about 7 inches long and 1/3 of an inch above my bellybutton. It's about 11 years old, slightly raised, and similar to the color of my own skin, maybe slightly lighter. The scar isn't that bad, the real problem is that I've had it since I was quite young and it hasn't stretched with the rest of the skin on my abdomen. My stomach above the scar comes out about half an inch, and a full inch or more below. Could surgery fix this? I'm not overweight and I don't think toning up would help.

A: Scar revision...perhaps

Hello,

We need to see and also preferably feel the scar to determine whether or nor scar revision might be helpful.
