Do I Need to Lose Weight Before Getting an Armlift?

i am 234lbs with very big flabby arms do i need to lose weight before i get a armlift?

A: Stable weight.....

Hello,

Get to a weight you feel you can maintain after surgery before having it. The results of surgery can change with weight variations afterward.

Why Can't I Striaghten my Arm After my Arm Lift?

I had an arm lift 4 wks ago. Last Sat when I woke up I was unable to straighten my right arm. When I try to you can feel a band that seems to run acorss the bend of my arm. It seemed to start as 3 little veins and now its a wide band. I'm not sure if it is tendons or what. They ultrasounded my arm and said I had a blood clot. I'm now on thinners but this band in my arm seems to be getting worse and no one seems to know what it is. I need help. I'm very worried.

A: Venous clot.....probably.

Hello,

This sounds like a very unusual problem. Make sure you stay close to your doctors office (frequent follow-ups) while this gets sorted out.

Good luck,

What Would be Best - An Arm Lift or Tuck?

I'm 28 years old. I've suffered with bat wings my whole life. I can never wear anything sleeveless and am extremely paranoid about my arms. I've come to the decision that surgery is the only option for me. Based on my photos is it the best option and will the scarring be worse than the bat wings? I'm desperate for help!

A: Arm lift probably...

Hello,

Arm lift or brachioplasty surgery does a pretty good job of tightening in this location. Short scar techniques are pretty worthless and can actually be more damaging. Just review the scars and make sure you are OK about them before surgery.
