How Long Does the "Sunburn" Sensation Stay After a Breast Implant?
Thanks for your question.
There are many nerves that can be effected by breast implant surgery.
The sensation can go back to normal. The best recommendation would be to do small frequent touches and massaging of the implants. These maneuvers would cause desensitization and retraining of the nerve endings.

I got memortgel implants (450ml) in April and after rough handling, one is much squishier than the other and makes noises. What is the likelihood that it's broken? Is there any way to find out without an MRI- I just lost my job!
Thanks for your question.
Sudden change in the texture and feel of implant usually signals rupture of an implant.
In case of saline implant rupture is signaled by sudden decrease in size of implant with asymmetry compare to the opposite side.
In case of silicone implant, the rupture can be most commonly noted as a decrease in the size or feel of implant.
It would be best if you could consult with your plastic surgeon as soon as possible so you can determine the most likely diagnosis.
An ultrasound or MRI can be very helpful in making a diagnosis and putting your mind at ease.

I'm 5'8 and my weight is 155-160 pounds; my bras size is 36 B. I had one pregnacy, I breastfeed my baby for 3 month. I hve a consultation with a doctor, she recomnded 400cc moderate plus silicon implant, under the muscle; but I think I want to go 500cc moderate plus silicon implant. I really want a natural look, nothing over the top, but I dont want to go to small either. Will 500cc moderate plus be to big for me?
Thanks for your question.
The appropriate size of the implant can be best determined best by the dimension of your chest wall, diameter of the breast and the amount of your breast tissue.
In addition, the diameter and the projection of the implant determines the cup size.
As you probably have experienced in the past, the cup size depends on the manufacturers and designer of the bra. For example, you may go to two different store on the same day and could be given two cup sizes.
A consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who frequently performs breast augmentation can help you decide on appropriate size.
We assist our patients decide on the size by having them try different size implants in a stretchy bra which can be very helpful.
