What areas of the body does Smart Lipo have by far the best results over other other procedures?
It's very true that the person performing the procedure is more important than the technology, however, Smart Lipo does give a few advantages.
1. For patients who have fat but a little loose skin the laser component of Smart Lipo does a nice job of tightening the skin with the liposuction. It has saved many patients the need to have a tummy tuck with their liposucton.
2. We find it is better for the chin and neck area than traditional liposuction alone. Many patients of opted for this vs. surgery for the loose tissue under the chin and done wonderfully without the down time of surgery.

I am 44 yrs old 5'5" , 126 lbs, weight is stable and I work out 3x wk. I have terrible saddlebags, have had them all my life, even as a teen. I have had enough of limited wardrobe options and being self conscious. I am sched for smartlipo next wk. I am very small and toned on top, a complete mismatch to my bottom, and am terrified of ruining what I like about myself. Reading this site in see many talk of weight gain in odd places, is this mostly for those using lipo for weight or shud I worry?
If you're ask active as it sounds I think you will be fine. Once the fat is gone, it's gone. However, not all the fat is removed when lipo of any kind is performed. If you gain weight you can gain volume back. As for where you might gain weight in the future if you do gain weight it's difficult to say but if you're that petite then it would probably be a general gain in fat volume all over your body. I think you're going to be fine. I wouldn't expect weight gain to target just your upper body, etc.

I loved my post lipo results on day 1 - 12 hours post surgery. Its exactly what I had hoped for. I am now week 8 and I know that I still have swelling. There are tender areas still and post exercise I am more swollen. My dr cleared me to stop wearing compression last week. I had Body Jet followed by Smart Lipo. I was told 3000 ccs were removed...not sure if that includes fluid or not. Once the swelling is finally gone should I look like I did day 1 post op? Or is that not reasonable?
I would expect that at 8 weeks after liposuction there is still swelling which will probably take several more months to resolve. It is also normal to have swelling after exercise. There was also swelling on the first post-operative day so that may or may not be a good indication of what your final result will be. But, if you are more swollen now, then it may be closer to what your final result is than what you see now. It's unfortunate that we can't predict final results--only time will tell.
