A: Fillers for Patients with Autoimmune Conditions

As other panel members have mentioned, there is not contraindication to using these products with your conditions.  It is always best, however, to get approval from your rheumotologist before moving forward with an elective procedure.

When Will Bruising Go Away After Restylane Injections in Tear Trough?

I recently had a lower blepharaplasty with Restylane injections in the tear trough. It is approaching the 7 week mark and I'm starting to get concerned. The bruising is just in the tear trough, where the Restylane was injected. I have a top notch doctor and trust him completely. He did say that he made sure to inject under the muscle of the eye and not beneath the skin. I am African American. Will bruising take longer heal or is it possible this will not go away. I'm worried.

A: Bruising after Restylane

It is unusual to have bruising that persists beyond a few weeks,  I recommend you return to your physician for an evaluation.

Is it Possible for Undereye Restylane to Drop to Frontal Cheek Pad?

my doc injected restylane under the muscle to treat my undereye hollows. after 3-5 days, i noticed that my frontal cheek pads, the area right below the underye hollow, was more puffy looking. is it possible the restylane injected under the muscle actually dropped down ?

A: Restylane to tear troughs

Without photos, it sounds as if you may be experiencing swelling.. If this is the case, it will improve. As other panel members have mentioned, it is best to wait 10-14 days before deciding how things have "settled."  It is rare for product to migrate, but if it has occurred you can use Vitrase to correct this.
