Single Areola Reduction That Stretched out
I had slight breast asymmetry, however this was most notable due to one areola (the right)being significantly larger than the other. I had an areola reduction on the right nipple 2 years ago, using permanent stitches. I was pleased with the results, however two years on I have noticed that the areola has stretched out - not to its original size, but I suspect it will get worse. I would like to re-do the surgery but would it just stretch again, and could the scarring be worse second time around?
A: How close to even do areola have to be?Your photos show a good result. Yes, your right side is slightly larger and if it continues to stretch out, you certainly can have a re-do done. I would suspect the risk for stretching out would be slightly less since your tissues have had some time to stretch out following your original procedure. Regardless, the risk of recurrence is real with this procedure.
As mentioned by others, at this point, very few doctors would recommend surgical intervention. You will decide when its bothersome enough that you are willing to accept the risks of surgery in hopes of achieving what your desire.
Is It Possible That Surgery for Areola Size Reduction Give You Mild Ezcema?
I really don't understand what's happening. Had the areola of my left breast reduced. Two months post surgery the areola started to have very small openings and after two days will form a crust. Thought it was my body healing. These small openings kept on coming. I went to see my surgeon and he said that I have ezcema on the areola. I never had any ezcema problem before. He gave me an ointmemt: Cicaplast B5 to be applied 2 times for one month. Can my ezcema be linked to my surgery? What to do?
A: Surgery does not cause eczemabut if you have had it anywhere else on your body, healing wounds can certainly predispose to it developing around them.
If your skin condition doesn't resolve, I would suggest seeing a Dermatologist. The other conditions mentioned usually occur immediately after your procedure or along the incisions. When your problem as you describe is on the areola itself, a visit to a Dermatologist may help you find the answer to what it is.
How Sucessful and Painful is an Eye Bag Removal/upper Eyelift & How Long Recovery?
A: Eyelid surgery is successful and long lastingAs my colleagues have alluded to, procedures around the eyes usually do quite well and last very long. Aging doesn't stop and if your brows descend or your upper lids age more, you could develop excess skin on the lid again. Your lower lids can develop wrinkles as well with aging. You should consider some exfoliant such as Retin A following lower lid surgery.
Regardless, if and when excesses develop, they are easily resolved with additional procedures.
