Drain Fell out 3 Days Post TT w/ Lipo, Should I Worry?

3 days post op from TT with lipo, feel pretty good* and I am limiting my pain meds. Then whoppsee one of drains fell out. Yes the drains were draining good. Am I in trouble? 2nd drain has continued to drain well.

A: If you have 2 drains you should be ok but.....

If there is another drain there it should be OK.  As long as no fluid accumulates and forms a seroma there should not be any long term problems.  You must see your surgeon and be evaluated.  Usually the second drain can compensate for the loss of the other drain.

Is It True That Your Pubic Area Can Get Pulled Way Up when You Get a Tt?

i mean abnormally stretched up toward your belly so that it looks really big. if not, are there any physical changes to that area?

A: The pubic area is usually elevated to some degree after a tummy tuck

Usually it makes the pubic area look better since most people who get a tummy tuck have loose skin of the tummy which also transitions into loose skin in the pubic area.  The degree of elevation of the pubic area can be tempered by the suturing technique.

Necrosis and Sepsis After Tummy Tuck: How Long Until the Wound Heals Up?

i had full tummy tuck with lipo 2 weeks ago. i developed sepsis and necrosis of the skin and fatty tissue. the doctors decided not to debride the dead tissue but it's quite a large area and feels like it will never heal. it seems to me that the wound is getting larger altough the black tissue has not grown any larger. the wound seems to be opening up more. should i have had more stitches to close this up?

A: Necrosis of the skin can happen for many reasons after tummy tuck surgery

You need to discuss this with your doctor.  Any information that you get without full understanding of your situation will only confuse you more.  There is no way to give relevant advice on this problem through this forum.  That being said, wound breakdowns after tummy tuck usually heal up on their own and usually do not require any surgical intervention.  Simple local wound care is usually all that is needed and in a few weeks the wound closes.
