How to Get Rounder, Plumper Butt?

I'm totally in need of a lift or something. I have somewhat of a butt, it's wide and long. It needs to be rounder and plump. How can one go about getting this effect? Like I said I have something to work with it's just not outstanding and I want this effect, but don't need much done to get it I guess.

A: Brazilian Butt Lift for Rounder, Plumper Butt

Thank you for your question.

In our San Francisco Bay Area practice we frequently perform buttock enhancements for a rounder, curvier figure.

To achieve this appearance we perform liposuction of the abdomen and back, process the fat, then transfer it directly to the buttocks. Combining these procedures allows us to use your own fat to reshape your figure, reducing the size of your abdomen and back and enhancing the size and shape of your buttocks.

Typically about a third of the fat that is harvested from the areas you don't want it (think abdomen, flanks, back, thighs) can be used to enhance your buttock contour.  The result is a permanent change that can significantly improve tour shape.  The other major benefit from this technique is the small incisions associated with it.

Nationally there is more and more attention being put on fat transfer.

Be sure to find a board certified plastic surgeon that has performed this procedure with some frequency.

I hope this helps.

Can the Serdev Suture Lift to Buttocks Improve Look of Banana Rolls?

Serdev suture buttock lift is supposed to give the legs a more elongated look, and also mabye improve appearance of banana rolls by lifting tissue. Little to no improvement to banana roll. I am a bit underweight and am wondering if the solution might be excision of loose skin of my banana rolls. Also, it hs been 3 months and I still have pain to the buttocks. A sensation of "pulling" or "opposing" when change positions. It is a burning sensation that feels like tissue is being pulled.

A: Can suture techniques lift the buttocks

Thanks for your question -

In our Bay Area practice we perform buttock enhancement operations commonly.

Generally speaking, suture suspension techniques do not provide lasting correction.  Other techniques like fat grafting or even skin excision when necessary will give you a safer, longer lasting result.

I hope this helps!

Butt Lift vs. Brazilian Butt Lift?

I recently lost 100lbs and even though I have hips, my butt kind of deflates and sinks in. I was interested in getting a Brazilian Butt Lift, but two plastic surgeons have said to do a Butt Lift (even though I don't have much sagging), and they can overlay the fat on my hips on top of fat in order to not get flat buttocks. Does this sound right or should I pursue the Brazilian Butt Lift?

A: Butt Lift vs Fat Transfer

Thanks for your question -

It is somewhat complicated to determine what is best. Many times patients with massive weight loss (congratulations by the way!) have significant amounts of excess skin. This can be a challenge for a traditional brazilian buttock lift.

You may need to have some excess skin removed as well. Brazilian buttock lift is designed to add volume to give your posterior an improved contour. It has limited power at improving large amounts of excess skin.

I hope this helps.
