I will be having a rhinoplasty combined with a septoplasty with Dr. Evan Ransom on Oct 7th, 2015. The rhinoplasty is to remove the bump on the bridge of my nose. The septoplasty is to correct a crooked septum. I also suffer from frequent runny noses which Dr. Ransom explained is due to an excess of tissue in the nostrils. That along with my snoring are expected to go away after surgery! more
Like everyone else on here, I was never fond of my nose. It wasn’t hideous, but the bulbous tip and over-arching of my nostrils had bothered me long enough that I finally decided to do something about it. I had my surgery done by Dr. Chung on June 25th, 2015 at Willow surgery center in San Francisco. Dr. Chung was so patient in answering all of questions and incredibly thorough in explaining... more
I can't be happier with my nose! My nose was crooked and my sister used to teese me that it looked like an upside down comma. In addition, I had a deviated septum, and my left nostril was almost collapsed.
Dr. Most assured me that he can correct all this and I just had a good feeling about him. He is a professional and honest person! He said that the bone structure has to be broken and the... more
After years of disliking my nose, I knew Dr. Lay was going to be the one to operate on my nose after my successful and enjoyable experience with him when he did my upper blepharoplasty about two years ago. Furthermore, the fact that he is also an Ear Nose Throat MD made me comfortable in allowing him to correct my deviated septum and reducing my nasal turbinate for the medical portion of my... more
Words cannot describe how happy I am with my results. I have had both a breast augmentation and rhinoplasty with Dr. Bermudez and it was the best decision I have ever made. I feel better about my appearance and have gained so much confidence. My goal was to have natural looking results and Dr. Bermudez worked with me every step of the way to achieve the best outcome. His practice incorporates... more
My name is James and, after many years of feeling self-conscious because of the hump on my nose. I went to see Dr. Korman about a Rhinoplasty. (I was referred to him by a friend who was also very pleased with his results) As soon as I walked in I was greeted by his very friendly staff. I was able to schedule an appointment and, meet with him that same week. In our first appointment, I asked a... more
It is my pleasure to write this enthusiastic review for Dr. Evan R. Ransom and the San Francsisco Center for Facial Plastic, Reconstructive & Laser Surgery.
On January 7, 2015, Dr. Ransom performed on me a rhinoplasty (correction of deviated septum, shortening of nose, and thinning of nose tip) and lower blepharoplasty in a single intervention. I am very pleased with the results of both... more
Dr. Maas is the best! I had wanted a natural nose job for many years. Wish I had it done sooner. After many consults in the Bay area a friend recommended a consult with Dr. Maas after a family member experienced great results. Office staff are great too. He was the only surgeon at the time who had invested in the latest technology to show me pictures of my new nose after the surgery. more
I've always wanted to get rhinoplasty but never had the courage to do so. My original nose looks fine, but i know it can look better. When i met Dr. lay i know he is the one who can give me that natural n beautiful look because i have seen his work. Plus, he is such an ethical plastic surgeon. I am more than satisfy with the outcome!! I couldn't be any happier. He gave me such a cute nose. It... more
It's March 2nd and I already have 2 consultations this month to find the right Doctor. I'm just worries and have so many questions to ask. I have been told that breathing problems can be a permanent side effect. Anyways, one appointment is with the same doctor that did my breast augmentation. I will definitely have a date by April. I have uploaded photos to get an idea of what I'm looking... more
I am late writing this review. I was going to document the beginning of my journey earlier but I decided to wait until the procedure was done so I wouldn’t be thinking about the outcome and everything that comes with surgery too much.
Anyway with that said I am 19 years old and I have wanted a new nose for years. I did try to embrace my old nose and talk myself into not having it fixed but... more
Getting this surgery done for myself is something I thought long and hard about and saw a couple surgeons before taking the plunge with Dr.Mehta. My nose was my biggest complex though some would say otherwise to my issue with it, its something I needed and wanted to make the decision on. I did my research on different doctors in the San Francisco area and stopped when I came across Dr.Mehta... more
I had always disliked how pointy my nose was from the side, but as I aged it was getting more bulbous in front too. At 39, I decided it was now or never. After 4 consults, I chose a local Rhino specialist, who is highly regarded. All of the Dr's said how I was an ideal candidate, straight forward case, etc., including mine. My goals were a better profile, smaller tip and overall smaller... more
I went in for a consultation months ago and I'm finally going through with the procedure next week (Wednesday, Feb. 4th) I used to hate my nose as a teenager, particularly from the side/profile view. It's always been a confidence buster for me. My older sister, as well as my aunt, have had a rhinoplasty due to a deviated septum long ago - but we were all 'blessed' with a Italian nose with a... more
I have never liked my nose. It must of been kids in school making fun, maybe its the fact that Ive never been able to breathe through it properly. Either one, I know I have never liked my nose. Its slightly crooked with a bit of a hump. Being a Pinterest addict, I constantly see pictures of weddings. A couple kissing on their wedding day. I would never want to take one of those pics with this... more
Dr. Dino Elyassnia is a phenomenal Plastic Surgeon! My whole experience from beginning to end was wonderful. I went in for a nose job for both cosmetics and also to fix a deviated septum that has been affecting my breathing for some time. Every step of the way I was impressed. Both the surgical nurses and anesthesiologist called me ahead of surgery to go over everything leading up to the... more
My motivation was two-fold, functional and comestic. I wanted to fix my deviated septum and be able to breathe better through my nose; I often woke up dehydrated from mouth-breathing all night. Secondly I wanted a more proportional nose to the rest of my face. While a large nose is masculine, with soft features, I felt my nose stood out way too much and was too big feature on my face. More... more
Dr. Most is fantastic! He did a rhinoplasty and a deviated septum repair for me in October. I had broken my nose several times and had a huge bump on my nose and it was very crooked. I am thrilled with the results and many of my friends think the difference is amazing. Dr. Most is friendly, informative, and very good at what he does. He has excellent bed side manner and can answer all your... more
Hey everyone I just wanted to thank all of you who have shared your stories. They have all helped me with this decision of getting my nose fixed!
I'm 20 years old and I've been wanting a nose job since I was 14. I actually have a really sad journal entry dated 11/18/08 where I write about how much I hate my nose:(
This will be my first surgery and I'm already getting really nervous for it.... more
I’m a female who, throughout my childhood and teen years, was always very self-conscious about my nose. Nearly everything was wrong with it: I had a deviated septum which caused it be asymmetrical, a noticeable dorsal hump, and a drooping nasal tip. After thinking about getting a rhinoplasty for years, I finally decided to go under the knife when I was 19. I looked up surgeons online in the... more
