Dr. Maas is the best! I had wanted a natural nose job for many years. Wish I had it done sooner. After many consults in the Bay area a friend recommended a consult with Dr. Maas after a family member experienced great results. Office staff are great too. He was the only surgeon at the time who had invested in the latest technology to show me pictures of my new nose after the surgery. more
It's March 2nd and I already have 2 consultations this month to find the right Doctor. I'm just worries and have so many questions to ask. I have been told that breathing problems can be a permanent side effect. Anyways, one appointment is with the same doctor that did my breast augmentation. I will definitely have a date by April. I have uploaded photos to get an idea of what I'm looking... more
I am late writing this review. I was going to document the beginning of my journey earlier but I decided to wait until the procedure was done so I wouldn’t be thinking about the outcome and everything that comes with surgery too much.
Anyway with that said I am 19 years old and I have wanted a new nose for years. I did try to embrace my old nose and talk myself into not having it fixed but... more
Getting this surgery done for myself is something I thought long and hard about and saw a couple surgeons before taking the plunge with Dr.Mehta. My nose was my biggest complex though some would say otherwise to my issue with it, its something I needed and wanted to make the decision on. I did my research on different doctors in the San Francisco area and stopped when I came across Dr.Mehta... more
I had always disliked how pointy my nose was from the side, but as I aged it was getting more bulbous in front too. At 39, I decided it was now or never. After 4 consults, I chose a local Rhino specialist, who is highly regarded. All of the Dr's said how I was an ideal candidate, straight forward case, etc., including mine. My goals were a better profile, smaller tip and overall smaller... more
I went in for a consultation months ago and I'm finally going through with the procedure next week (Wednesday, Feb. 4th) I used to hate my nose as a teenager, particularly from the side/profile view. It's always been a confidence buster for me. My older sister, as well as my aunt, have had a rhinoplasty due to a deviated septum long ago - but we were all 'blessed' with a Italian nose with a... more
I have never liked my nose. It must of been kids in school making fun, maybe its the fact that Ive never been able to breathe through it properly. Either one, I know I have never liked my nose. Its slightly crooked with a bit of a hump. Being a Pinterest addict, I constantly see pictures of weddings. A couple kissing on their wedding day. I would never want to take one of those pics with this... more
My motivation was two-fold, functional and comestic. I wanted to fix my deviated septum and be able to breathe better through my nose; I often woke up dehydrated from mouth-breathing all night. Secondly I wanted a more proportional nose to the rest of my face. While a large nose is masculine, with soft features, I felt my nose stood out way too much and was too big feature on my face. Hey everyone I just wanted to thank all of you who have shared your stories. They have all helped me with this decision of getting my nose fixed!
I'm 20 years old and I've been wanting a nose job since I was 14. I actually have a really sad journal entry dated 11/18/08 where I write about how much I hate my nose:(
This will be my first surgery and I'm already getting really nervous for it.... more
I’m a female who, throughout my childhood and teen years, was always very self-conscious about my nose. Nearly everything was wrong with it: I had a deviated septum which caused it be asymmetrical, a noticeable dorsal hump, and a drooping nasal tip. After thinking about getting a rhinoplasty for years, I finally decided to go under the knife when I was 19. I looked up surgeons online in the... more
I have been waiting to have my nose fixed since I was 15 years old. Growing up my nose was fine but in my teenage years things started to look a bit crooked and I developed a hump on the bridge. My right profile has always bothered me a bit more since the hump is quite noticeable.
Since then my family was just as confused as I have been about how it got to be that way. My parents have always... more
Hi realselfers! For the last few years, I've been dissatisfied with the appearance of my nose. As an African, my nose is characterized by a wide alar base, flared nostrils, a thick skin, and lack of a defined bridge, all of which I'd like to improve upon through surgery. Living in western Canada, there aren't many surgeons here who work on many ethnic patients - making my search for a suitable... more
I had open rhinoplasty 5 months ago and my tip is still huge feels bigger than before. I've had two steroid shots yet really scared my nose will not change much. Please help! My doctor said it's still early stages and will continue to change. I don't want to go through this again. Btw he is double board certified. more
After years of debating and researching and lurking, I finally decided to go through with a rhinoplasty. I made a list of every surgery I have ever wanted and realized that this--by far--tops the list.
Admittedly, I have never had a terrible nose and never heard anything but positive comments on it. Most people would never guess that I have ever wanted a nose job because I don't talk about it... more
I am a male in my mid twenties, who had been considering rhinoplasty for quite some time. My nose always had a droopy tip, a crooked nasal bone, and a hump that gave it a very unattractive appearance --that resembled a hook. In addition, I also had a deviated septum.
Prior to moving forward with Dr. Mehta, I have had the opportunity to attend several consultations with different doctors. Dr.... more
I had my rhinoplasty done with Dr. Most almost 1.5 months ago, and I can't be more pleased with the results.
I had thought about getting a rhinoplasty for a few years. In my opinion, my nose was slightly too bulbous for the rest of my face, and it had a slight hump. It wasn't ugly but I felt it distracted from my eyes and my face as a whole. So I went on several consultations with plastic... more
I had a pointy hooked nose and felt it made me look less feminine, so I went looking for a surgeon on a plastic surgery forum and was pointed to Dr. Creasman. I decided to get my nose and breasts done. Dr. Creasman is an amazing artist and he took excellent care of me and made me feel at ease. My nose and boobs looked great! Unfortunately a few months afterward my nose suffered a trauma and... more
I'm 24 now, but ever since I was 6 years old and I first saw my side profile in a mirror I have hated the way my nose looks. I think about it whenever I meet someone new - I’m thinking that all they see is a giant talking nose, which I know is ridiculous. I know it sounds totally obsessive, self-indulgent and vain, but it does and always has kept me from being happy. Ever since I can... more
I have trouble breathing and hate my nose at the same time, ever since I was a teenager. My parents and siblings have very different noses than I, and it makes me very self conscious. My main problem is the flaring of my nostrils and the almost extreme notching.
1st DR consultation:
I went to a PS and towards the end of the second consultation he was unsure he would be able to fix the... more
Hello Good Folks,
I had Rhinoplasty a week ago and just got my cast of yesterday. I am and un-happy with how its looking now. I wanted to share with people that can relate and offer advise. It was a Open Rhinoplasty to correct a small hump as well as a deviated tip. I like everything about my new nose but I am unhappy and unconfident about the un-even nostrils and still see a little... more
