Had saggy upper eye. Some fat lower eye. Some lines lower eye. Just wanted to keep what I had as long as possible while young still, why wait till im 70 to enjoy it? Im 46, had it done, 6 days post op. A little scared. Cant believe I let someone cut on my face. Feel very vain. Its definately not a one week back to work procedure. I would say 2 or 3 and I would assume, I wont feel good about it... more
I noticed that my upper eyelids had become "hooded" over the last year or so. My eyes naturally go down at the sides but recently it looked as though I were tired all the time. I am one month post surgery-NO scarring, NO change in my appearance other than I look better rested AND I can see a bit better! JUST what I wanted.
Here is a pic of my eyes before (as requested)! The question was... more
My surgery (Upper Bleph) is scheduled for this coming Friday 06/20/14 and I'm starting to have "cold feet". Is this normal? I did my research and trust the doctor. But after reading some of the reviews on this site, my main concern is the healing of the scars... Any advice will be really appreciated... or just to know there are other people in the similar situation.... more
I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Ransom and Dee Roby! Simply the best surgery experience I could have hoped for! I'm 47 and my upper eyelids had becoming increasingly heavier since I was 40. I spent a couple of years seeing different surgeons, having consultations and researching their backgrounds and checking reviews. No doubt some of them were great surgeons but I never felt the immediate... more
Dr Maas seemed attentive, listening and comprehending my desire -- AT FIRST -- for a small improvement to refresh my upper eyelids. He SEEMED to get that i was looking for a completely natural effect, just a more rested version of MYSELF. He did NOT get it at all. He is an act, all an act. He absolutely ruined my eyes, which were beautiful. He over corrected and left me looking hollow, gauged... more
I am looking for an advice and a great doctor who has a LOT of experience with GREAT results in blepharoplasty (eye lid) / midface procedure.
I need a good recommendation from someone who already did it. Please share this info with me if you can recommend me a very experienced doctor who focuses mainly on face/blepharoplasty.
I strongly believe in personal experience than in... more

I have battled with Graves Disease for the past 2 years. It has completely destroyed my self confidence. I would not wish this disease on my worse enemy. I've noticed over the last 2 years that there really isn't a lot of testimony or bloggers on the internet detailing their experience with Graves. So I've decided to use this forum to due just that. To make a very long story short, my eyes... more
I'm a young Asian woman who wanted to have a more oval face and more symmetric upper eyelid folds. There are no specialists in Canada with Dr. Lay's experience.he was kind enough to write back to me over e-mail and discuss things over face time. After traveling to California for my surgery I felt nervous at first but then Dr. Lay and his staff made me feel very comfortable. The procedure went... more
Sagging eyes are a family trait, so after having had a lower blepharoplasty 10 years ago at age 30 outside of the US, it was now time for the upper blepharoplasty.
I did my homework researching options in the San Francisco Bay area, and chose Dr. Rajagopal for her experience, convenient location and reasonable pricing.
The whole process was a pleasure, from the initial complementary... more
I went to see Dr. Hessler because I feel like I've always had a "mean" look about me and I just wanted to see what a brow lift entailed. That said, I had never had any procedures before so I was really wary of doing something really drastic right away ... and Dr. Hessler was really understanding and helpful. She provided a few options - one was Ultherapy and the other was an upper bleph. I was... more
My eyelids were beginning to droop at the outer corners, and wrinkles were getting deeper around my eyes--especially laugh lines. I read about the Laser Eyelid Lift online and talked to Dr. Banthia and staff at Reviance in San Jose. He performs an intense laser procedure that, in a word, WORKS! Unlike the eyelid lift video I saw, that requires 3 sessions, mine was a single appointment,... more
I went to Dr. Hessler for eyelid surgery. The result was better than I expected. I barely had any bruising, very little swelling, you can barely see the incisions, and the recovery time was very fast. (couple days, few Tylenols)
I plan on having a facelift in the near future, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my face! more
After debating for years whether or not to have this surgery, I decided to go for it. I wish I had done it years ago! I've always had uneven eyelids, which didn't really bother me until one in particular became more saggy. I'm in my early 30s, and I felt like if it weren't for my saggy eyelids, I'd look much younger. I looked tired all the time, and my eyes and eyelashes didn't "pop" anymore... more
I am just 25 years old but I look like an old lady since my eyes always look tired and puffy. I always wear glasses to hide it but it was really frustrating. I decided to have a plastic surgery and had consultations with three plastic surgeons in Toronto. I am extremely happy that I made the right decision by choosing Dr. Togba for my Eyelid surgery. Initially it was difficult for me to look... more
I just had my upper eyelids done today. I did it because I felt I looked tired and didn't like the crepey skin on my eyelids. I just turned 47 I take very good care of myself I exercise everyday, but cant stop the aging process to the face.
I was so excited to finally have the procedure done. It was not painful, going to the dentist is worse in my opinion. I had the surgery done under... more
I had eylid surgery 6 years ago and was recently diagnosed with Lagophthalmos which is a condition of the eylids not completely closing. This is a very serious condition and can lead to loss of vision. Unless you have loss of vision due to overhanging lids don't do it. more
37 years old, have always had very slight puffiness under my eyes that made me look tired. After trying all the eye creams on the planet as well as at home lasers, and salon eye treatments, I decided the blepharoplasty was the way to go. I checked out two doctors that seemed good; the first suggested a laser transconjunctival incision in addition to Fraxel to tighten up the loose skin at the... more
