Is Sculptra Likely to Cause Lumps if Injected in the Temples?

A PS suggested this could be done to create volume in this area. But Im very thin there. Its just like under my eyes and is skin on bone. I find it hard to believe it wouldnt end up visibly lumpy. Then I watched the Sculptra dvd and it shows before and after pics featuring only the area around the mouth. The dvd even states Sculptra has only been evaluated for nasolabial wrinkles and folds. Is Sculptra effective at creating natural looking volume in the temples?

A: Sculptra to Improve Temple Hollowness

Sculptra is a great way to improve the temple region to look natural appearing.  The sculptra would be injected deep under the muscle.  There are ways to avoid getting a lumpy result, mainly with careful preparation, injection technique, and post-procedure massaging.

Sculptra for the Temple Area?

Has Sculptra been evaluated for safe and effective use in the temple area?

A: Depressed temples

The best fillers for the temple area are Sculptra or fat.  The injection of either is safe as long as the surgeon is familiar with the temporal artery and facial nerve.  Sculptra needs to be done over several months and fat needs a minor surgical procedure.

Only a Few Hours Inflammation After 1st Vial of Sculptra and 4 Days of Inflammation After 2nd Vail. Is This Normal?

How is it that: After the 1st vial the inflammation took just a few hours to go down. After the 2nd vial the inflammation took 4 days to go down. Why did the inflammation go down so quickly after the 1st vial? Is it possible the doctor only used a fraction of a vial the first time to be cautious in case of allergic reaction? Does anyone do this? If so, wouldn't you give more sculptra in a later session to compensate for the less sculptra in the first treatment?

A: Inflammation from Sculptra

True inflammation after Sculptra would be unusual.  However, some swelling and bruising would not be uncommon at all.  The  amount of this swelling/bruising could vary from time to time due to either the amount injected or just the simple bad luck of getting more bruising. It is common for an injector to use more product earlier and the same or less product over time as the collagen is restored. However, if your skin is tender and red I would recommend seeing the administering doctor immediately
