What Can I Expect From A Neck Lift Revision With Excess Skin and Scar Tissue?

I had a necklift 1 1/2 yrs ago. I had a wierd look right after under my chin, dr. said you need a vy plasty to remove more skin. Looked great for a week and then more of the same almost like a hinged look. Went to another dr. yesterday and he said I have a thick band of scar tissue under chin and excess skin. My dr. wants to redo and he is not even mentioning any of these problems. Dr. yesterday said this is tricky because of the scar tissue. Will this scar tissue cause me problems later?

A: Revision Neck Lift I would seek another consultation and see if you have two surgeons that agree on the same diagnosis and surgical plan and then discuss these with your original surgeon. I am sorry I can not be of much assistance with this dilemma however a hands on physical examination must be done to see if you are dealing with skin pleats, muscle banding or scar tissue. I wish you the best regards!

How Do You Get the Sagging Neck Muscle to Go Back Where It Used to Be?

i am a thin girl, 46 years old, never had face work done, i have loose skin under neck, but even more so, i have saging muscle tissue???? what type of sergicle persedure is best???

A: Sagging skin under the neck is best addressed by a facelift Facelift procedures are best to address excess skin under the chin and neck. The muscles via SMAS and platysma procedures as well as the excess skin will be addressed with a facelift procedure. See a reputable surgeon in your area and look at their before and after pictures, speak with their patients who have gone through the same procedure, and discuss your objectives and desires with your surgeon so a good surgical plan may be addressed. Best regards!

What is Wrong with my Neck? I Dislike My Profile. (photo)

I am not really what sure is wrong with my neck. I am 29 and fairly in shape I have come to really dislike my profile. Is there anything that can be done?

A: Liposuction and chin augmentation Liposuction and chin augmentation would be the best answer for you. Your chin is slightly receding and a small implant with liposuction of the neck would provide a very aesthetically pleasing profile. You have a nice nose and the augmentation of the chin and neck liposuction will provide an improved angle which would help harmonize your features. I perform the procedure through a very small incision under the chin and do the liposuction and implant from that incision. The procedure is very well tolerated, with minimal discomfort and recovery time. Best regards!
