I had fat transfer under my eyes/top of cheeks 2 years ago with terrible results. The area is uneven& lumpy, with hard little beads underneath. There are zillions of plastic surgeons in Atlanta. I thought the one I went to was skilled, but he ruined my face. I met w/ a top ps here. He thought the area looked "freaky" but would only recommend filler on the outer side to even things up. How do I find a ps w/ fat trans experience? What are the best options that won't make it worse?
I have a 29" waist and love handles that are 38" at the fullest part. When the love handle curve ends, the line goes in and then goes out for 42.5" hips. It looks like a triple curve on my body. 1) Is there a way I can just get fat injected into the line that goes back in so that way the love handle curve extends into my hips, making it look like an hourglass shape? 2) Does the fat need to be injected just at the sides or around the whole body? What is the procedure called, if it does exist?
Yes you can have fat injected into the lateral (side) portion of your hips to improve the contour. This is done quite commonly during a Brazilian buttock augmentation. The waist line and love handles also need to be contoured as well. I can give you a better answer if you include photos in your post. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination.
Best wishes,

Where can and can't you inject fat on the face? The doctor I recently consulted with told me that fat cannot be injected into the nose tip and chin because fat doesn't exist there.
I find fat to be a wonderful facial voumizing option. I think the best results are obtained when fat is injected in the mid-face region. I like to add fat from the zygoma (the upper side of the cheek) along the infraorbital rim (just below the lower eyelid), to the tear trough region. I also like fat in the nasolabial fold region. Fat adds a third dimension that is not attainable doing a facelift. It creates a very natural, youthful appearance and avoids the "pulled and hollow" look that occurs when the mid-face is stretched.
I would avoid putting fat in the nasal tip or the chin. There is a very high risk of contour irregularity and patient dissatisfaction.
It is important to keep in mind that only about 50% of the volume that is initially injected will survive long term and multiple sittings may be required to get the results you are looking for. There is also a lot more swelling and down time required when compared with other volumizing agents such as Radiesse, Juvederm, Restylane etc.
